Christina Helm was a gorgeous, but still little known actress back in the 70's. Shs had bit parts on a few hit tv shows at that time, and some starring roles in B rated movies. Her off screen life was much more interesting compared to her on screen life. Christina was brutally murdered on Feb 12, 1977. She was stabbed over 30 times and blugeoned, and then bled to death under a parked car. Many have suspected her murder was related to her secret diaries and tapes she kept of all of her lovers... blackmail material that she kept as her "insurance policy."
So fast foreward to this morning... I was driking my coffee, watchign the today show do a peice on the tv show The Sopranos. They did a behind the scenes story on the now defunct tv show., including severla quick interviews with the actors. One of those actors is Tony Sirrico. Tony had begged producers to never allow his character to kill a woman on the show because it would "make him look bad." But could there be a darker reason to his request? Tony has long been considered a person of interest in the murder of Christa Helm, and is thought to hold vital information to the case,,, but he insists he knows nothing. Christa knew Tony very well according to many of her friends, and many of his friends... though if you ask Tony these days he claims he "barely knew her." Coincidence? Well, I don't believe in coincidences.
Christa Helm's brutal murder remains unsolved. She left behind a daughter, who was just a little girl when she lost her mother, who has vowed to bring her mother the justice she deserves. Christa continues to investigate her mother's murder.
Perfect excuse to go on an all day Sopranos box set I have that was initially a gift from my one true love. The second one was stolen [yeah,you read that right] while I had pnumenoia last year,member?

I don't know anything about the Sopranos lol never watched the show actually. I only learned of this case a few years ago when it was on Dateline (or maybe it was 48 hours.) The peice was done because of all the elements this mystery holds: sex, blackmail, gorgeous actress with a somewhat shady lifestyle, her only beacon of light is her adorable little girl, and the absolute brutality in which she was killed and then hidden. Not to mention the fact that all of the her diaries and sex tapes she kept on all the men she had sex with (buisnessmen, politicians, actors, foreign politicians, and then lower forms of life) all mysteriously disappeared. And no one who knew her will talk about her..., all her friends and buisness associates are VERY tight lipped when it comes to Christa Helm. Definitely a major cover up in Hollywood... not necessariliy by law enforcement, but by the people who run Hollywood. I personally am afraid that something will happen to her daughter if she digs too deep into this case. Christa had alot of secrets, that someone killed for to keep those secrets in the dark. If that person is still alive, I don't doubt they would do it again to keep her daughter quiet as well should she ever uncover anything.
The Sopranos centers around Tony Soprano,the New Jersey side of the mafia local like criminals #101 Boss. His crew,he is involved in "waste management" and owns a strip club called The Bada Bing.[my BFF and I have T-shirts from there LOL] He's got a whacko nuts wife Carmella,a daughter Meadow and a son,Anthony JR.
Honestly,it is a graphically violent show,gratuitiously bloody and racist,mysogynistic . It's great tv.Ha ha ha!
