Another Victim Of Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy Identified

This is really trippy. I'm sure most of you know who John Wayne Gacy is but for those who've never hung out here before, Gacy is a serial killer, thought by some to be the most prolific American serial killer of the 20th century. I'll avoid the debate today [too much crime on my desk]but I did see this and it made my stomach hurt instantly.

CHICAGO -- An Illinois sheriff's office has identified another victim of the notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy: a 16-year-old runaway named James Haakenson from Minnesota, CBS Radio station WBBM reports.

James Byron Haakenson's family received the grim news from a Cook County Sheriff's Office investigator this week. Gacy was convicted of luring 33 young men and boys to his Chicago home, then strangling them and burying them on his property. The murders took place between 1972 and 1978.

It's hard to see how someone could live such a clandestine life, hiding that kind of lifestyle. I can't hide it when I realize someone drank the last coke. I can't imagine the weight of that burden. Gacy also would dress up as a clown for local civic events and town parades and perform as "Pogo The Clown". That's strait bizarre.There are still 6 unidentified victims killed by Gacy and 5 years since anyone had been identified as a victim of Gacy.

I was going through a list of OJ links and I ran across this piece on John Wayne Gacy. I thought you guys who don't have as much info on him might want to read up a little on this guy I'm talking about. He's one of what I call the Big 4 of serial killers: Gacy, Richard Rameriz, Ed Gein and Ted Bundy. Each have their own psychopathy and each varies in his method and execution of the crimes and the disposal of victims.

Our magazine has a lot on him as well so let's see if we can't give you some Serial Killer Magazine for your Hump Day Evening. biggrin
