This evening while checking my mail here on JJ,I was sent an interesting message. It seems that the first story I covered here on JJ "The Evil Within",is being made into a feature film.
In Canada for several years,there has been major interest in making this crime into a feature film,but the filmmakers met with a great deal of resistance from the families of the victims and the victim of rapes at the hands of Paul Bernardo. They finally gave up when none of the cities they wanted to film in would support such a project. Apparently Hollywood has gone where Canadians did not want to go.And frankly,I am suprised.Not that it is being turned into a film,but that there is still so much interest in the case.I invite you to re-read (or read for the first time) my story,"The Evil Within" and get the facts before seeing such a film.I honestly can't imagine what they did because the graphic violence and sexual torture are so bad. But I will be going to see it,and I hope that the public will give it a chance so that Karla,who will be released 3 months after this film debuts,will never have a place where she can live out the rest of her life without fear of repercussion for her past misdeeds.I feel very strongly that she should have been declaired a dangerous offender and kept incarcerated.Because she has served her full sentance she will leave prison with NO PAROLE or supervision of any kind.

will certainly see the movie.no surprisethe story was made into movie. it has all the elements that makes for a money making movie. sex murder domestic violence. innocent victims.is sad people making money off these victims. will really be hard on the parents,wonder if moviewill lead to a public outcry to never release carla into society again.much as the public response to manson.who will never see life outside of prison bars again largely in part due to the public media attention his case recieved.its the public thats kept him in prison all these years not the judical system.i wonder how the movie monster affected aileen warnos stay in the judical system.its one thing to be known as a monster to the ones involved in your case. and to be known as a monster to the whole world. the average everyday joe.andnotjust lawyers, investigaters, judges. ect..ect.speaking of had not had the pleasure of seeing that movie yet.sometimes it takes society to do what some beurocratic ssystems fail to do.sadly theonly way most of society even leard of the cases ,stories of monsters is through tv and movies.
Gotta see this one. I read all the books and even got the one that was banned with the pics. Have you seen the pics of her and her fellow inmates partying in prison? SICK!!!!!!!!!

I've seen them.They are beyond disgusting. The fact that her release date is Laslie Mahaffy's birthday makes me really angry. The Canadian justice system really blew this one up.It's such a miscarraige of justice. There aren't enough worde in the english language to tell how much I hate this woman,she is evil personified.
no have not saw those pictures.butread book cant recall exactly which bookit was. read annas artical. this case realy disgusted me. i mean to kill youre own sister so youre sick o husband can live out one of his fantasys is just sick makes me believe she is just as sick as him.neither have any regard for humane life.they both should remain locked up until the day they can leave prison in a pine box.and this from someone that doesnt believe in captial punishment.but if anyone deserves it it is these two monsters.
I wish I could just let go of how mad this whole thing makes me. Karla will be released on the birthday of one of her victims,and that is beyond wrong. I have read all 5 books and I wish I could just stop caring,I hate the whole thing. I know it is some kind of obsession but injustice has that effect on me.
Oh, I forgot.. I was going to ask if anyone knows if they (Paul and Karla) were heavy drug users or did she do drugs? That might be a reason (not an excuse) for doing it once or doing something awful, if you were blown out of your mind on drugs, but I doubt that too..

Paul and Karla were heavy drinkers and I know Paul occasionally smoked pot. The only other drug use that I know of is that they crushed sleeping pills and gave them to their victims. I think Paul didn't like Karla doing much of anything but Paul,God alone knows al the evil he perpetuated.I absolutely can't stand the man. The pair of them should be declared dangerous offenders and have no future except on in jail. The Canadian government screwed this up royally.
I agree completely and reading all of the news on this case today (I didn't have computer access over the weekend to read it sooner) but reading things like: 'Holmoka will face restrictions' or 'Homolka will not be free to fly' - I just keep thinking.. so what! at least she's free! Can you imagine being one of the victims parents? Horribly unfair.
You can't get me to shut up about Paul and Karla.I feel sorry for my family because my hardcore obsession of this vile miscarraige of justice is never ending.How many 18 year old kids know who Karla Homolka is and what she did? LOL.
I can't wait for this movie to come out so more people will be aware of the disgusting things she did and walked away from with a tiny sentance at a prison nicknamed "Camp Cupcake". There was no justice for the victims of Paul and Karla and I for one think it should be re-opened based on the fact Karla lied about drugging and raping a girl for Paul when he wasn't around.She did it alone and called him on his cell to come home because she had "a suprise" for him.

They could re-open it if it could be proven that she lied at any time during her plea deal.Her deal was made WAY BEFORE they found the sex and torture tapes. The government didn't know jack squat about Karla. She said what they wanted to hear:it was all Paul.She did lie and the government doesn't want another appeal.And possibly having Paul to make noise so they wind up having to re-try his case,too.When she gets out I pray for anyone that comes anywhere near her.She is totally evil.Worse than Paul because he at least admitted he had issues. Karla claimes she never wanted to do what she did.But after seeing those tapes or hearing them,we all know she was lying.She got off on it. I just hope that some day she'll recieve some sort of karmic retribution. You never know.
