2 boys guarded the outside of the house while 7 girls screamed, beat, kicked and knocked out one girl who supposedly was starting rumors on My Space about another.Another girl used her phone to video this, with the intent of putting it on YouTube.
Cut to today. The ringleader got sentenced to probation and community service. I don't believe that was the appropriate punishment. What they did was called assault,no matter their age and I suspect this girl's going to have issues an anger management class won't solve. Check it out below.
I love it when people won't post their response and email it to me instead.I'm going to start outing you chuckleheads. You give me the most bang for my buck, seriously.
<Dear anna, You have no right to say what is or is not appropriate for the kids in this case.KIDS! They were just playing around! They never meant any harm. Are you going to tell me you never got in a fight as a teenage girl? You never spread a silly rumor? They don't deserve any jail time and definately don't deserve to be judged by someone as strait laced and narrow minded as yourself. Elizabeth P.,Canton Ohio>
Elizabeth.Come on.Get real. They didn't mean any harm? Then why was that fight 7 on 1? When I was a teenager it was 1 on 1 and yes,we spread rumors but we didn't have the internet to make it worse.I have every right to say how I feel and so do you.Unlike you,I have the guts to post it in an open forum.
Oh and just for the record,I have two nose rings, four tattoos and my favorite bands are Marilyn Manson and Metallica.Try that on for strait laced and narrow minded.
You go girl....I'm with you on this one. When I was a teen, yeah, I really was once, I was always fighting, too much of a tomboy and way too small but still fought. It was as you stated 1 on 1. Come on girly, post your comments up front and no hiding crap in emails to Anna... Later Gator

LMAO You got me beat. The worst I got was internal suspension my senior year...which I ditched to go to a rock concert in a town an hour and a half away...and felt free not to inform my parental unit.
All those girls should serve time in prison. They are violent offenders. I have never been in a physical fight - kid or adult. They knew what they were doing or they would never have had someone watching the house.
Of course, we can blame everyone else, like the parents have. From what I have seen on TV, they all sit up there saying someone else should have done this or that and they have a violent child they cannot control. This new parenting style is a mystery to me. I am a somewhat young parent and I believe in disciplining my children. I find it difficult to believe a parent is unaware of what type of child they have raised. If you are there and involved with your kids, you should recognize a problem this big. I have friends who give their 10 year olds cell phones and allow them to have myspace pages. What happened to dolls and bicycles???
I agree totally. My kid had a cell phone when she was a senior but she was 18,ffs! And an honor student leaving for college and to this day [she's 22] has never been in a fight.
I don't know what everyone's problem is.Did we forget to teach our kids that violence isn't the answer?
I don't yet know how I am technically teaching my children because I do believe in giving them a spanking when necessary. I think the whole time off thing is bull...sorry. Anyway, we are a little old fashioned in our approach to parenting. I am opposed to absentee parenting and do feel a need to interfere in my child's so-called privacy if that protects them from ruining their lives. WOW. I got off on a rant, huh? LOL!
I don't remember ever spanking my kid,but believe me it wasn't for lack of wanting to!
I don't know,I see kids that are so undiciplined and rude,I think a spanking might have done them some good. And we all have seen too many kids being raised by their grandparents, who, bless their hearts, just aren't up to the job of punishing an unruly brat.
I can't believe there is anyone out there who believes these girls SHOULDN'T have done time.
It boils down to kids in today's society. Most of them lack proper parental guidance, and discipline. They are rude, disrespectul, lazy, selfish, have no ambitions, no dreams, no goals in life (except to become famous by acting like jackasses and then posting it on youtube.)
Assault is assault. It doesn't matter if the girl who was assaulted was spreading rumors or not. You don't hold someone prisoner while beating the **** out of them just because they may or may not have mouthed off. Those girls have proven what they are, we'll definitely be seeing them in prison at some point in their lives.
That is ridiculous...people do not fight for fun...unless it's UFC...and they STILL hurt eachother!! They meant to do harm to her...that is really the whole point of fighting...is it not? Otherwise it would just be playing around!!
