Justice Junction is getting a face lift - well, a face lift/body lift lol. We're redesigning the site from the ground up. We're also changing the format. We're leaving Dreamweaver (a website creation tool) and going to Drupal (another website creation tool - but one that makes the website more interactive). We'd like your input on what you would like to see covered on Justice Junction. Is there a topic or area of interest that you've thought of in the past that you'd like see? Are there any specific problems that you've run into on Justice Junction? Y'all have to let me know what you'd like to see, what you'd like to see gone and all that jazz so I have some idea when reformatting.
Now, this is what the new site is going to have so far. As I mentioned, the new Justice Junction is going to be interactive. This board will be replaced by a new forum (I wish we could transfer this one over, but I've been trying and it just doesn't look possible). Every user who already has a user name will be set up as an Advanced User on the new board. While I'm thinking about it, we also need at least two more moderators to help Anna out when she's swamped. So if you think you're up to it or you want to nominate someone else, send private inboard mail to either myself or Anna - she'll have the final say over the two new moderators. Also, on the new Justice Junction, each member will have their own blog space, you'll be able to upload articles (that you write of course) and of course we'll still have the forum board. New users who come along after the new site is up and running will not have the same priveledges as our older members of course. We also plan on offering incentives like hats, coffee mugs, pens, and bumper stickers with the Justice Junction logo on them in small competitions so if you have any idea's for those, feel free to let us know! We also have plans on adding a donations section and a small gift shop.
I should mention that this is going to take awhile, it might take six months to a year to get everything ready.
I just thought that I would give a heads up to the board and see if I can get any idea's flowing from you guys (and gals!). I'll post on the board before this site is taken down and replaced with the new one. As I mentioned, it's still a ways up the road, but we've already started work on the new site so hopefully the time will just fly by!
Heh,all kidding aside,I'd like to have the cold cases set down to one a week.It is unfortunate that so many people are abducted,missing and families are grieving for ttheir loved ones who have no closure. I don't want the site to become overrun with the "where is?" stories but one a week or one a month story on a cold case file woule be a great feature.
