I dont know if anyone is up to date with you Madeleine Mccann kidnapping but would love to hear everyones views and we can all hope one day she will return and pray for her family.
I didn't remember this case right off the bat but when the pics of her came up,with the age progression and all,I was like,OH YEAH,this I remember.
Of course I,like everyone else,I don't want to believe the parents are responsible.I also read that the children were unsupervised while the parents had dinner and took turns walking through a restraunt to see if all was cool.
We all see now,not a good idea!We had press on this----just not enough. And I honestly think the family was targeted by media.
Enigma,I know you.You have the biggest heart of anyone here.

Thanks Anna, these beautiful children are so vulnerable and precious. I just wish for a time that in addition to "It Takes A Village" that it included keeping them safe as well as raising them. Now don't the two go hand in hand????

I must say one of the things that shocked me when this all first happened was that the parents were on vacation and left their young children ALONE in a hotel room, or whatever it was they were staying in. That's just asking for something bad to happen. Some people are too stupid to be parents.
I hope that little girl is found, but I have a feeling it won't happen, and if it does, it won't be for a long time.
I was always far too paranoid to leave my daughter alone....I just could not do it. I only had one child but there was no way I could leave her alone at that age, even if I was just on the other side of a courtyard restaraunt.
Don't get me wrong.I'm not saying they deserved their fate. It's very sad. But somehow,it also seems like it could have been prevented.
Hey guys listen i know what your all saying about the family leaving them and all, and i agree there totally in the wrong, but lets focus on the monster that took her, he must off been targeting her because if it was one off those cult gangs that kidnap kids to put them on the sex market they would of took the other kids 2, this person that took her, i think, is a man that has lost a child before with his wife and has traumatized them as a family and have acted out on impulse and kidnapped this girl. It is an angle the police have thought about but i think its the right one, what do you guys think ????
Did they ever find her or find a body?I may be wrong but I believe there was never any evidence to prove she was "taken" by anyone.
Now,the theory of being "targeted"....hmm. You know I can see how that could happen in the US. My hometown just got named the kidnapping capital of the US! Nice, right? People can be so careless. But when I lived overseas, children were always protected and they were the first priority.
You know,It's hard to say. They had a compromised crime scene and poorly held investigation.I honestly don't believe she'll ever be found. But look at Jaycee Dugard! They found her after what?18 years?
She has definetly been taken and why only her thats why i think she was targeted.
I was reading about the place where she was kidnapped and it happens all the time there to sell them to peodaphiles etc.. its horrible i hope in a way that she has been taken by a family only because if she ever does get found she wont have been molested all this time.
No there was never any body found. For a while, the authorities thought the parents might be the ones responsible, because I believe it was her hair or blood (maybe both, I can't remember), that was found in the trunk of their rental car, but that lead never panned out.
I have always suspected 2 scenarios : Either she was taken to be raised by a couple who couldn't have kids (I hope this is the case, at least she'll be loved and cared for), or, she was taken and is the victim of human trafficking.
Sad to say, the human trafficking trade is strong, and guess which country is one of the top countries for this "industry?" USA. Hard to believe sometimes, but unfortunately, is true.
I honestly think the human trafficking scenario is more plausible. I realize only Maddie was taken and her younger siblings were left. However, it's possible they only took her because they figured they could keep her quiet much more easily. Keeping babies or toddlers quiet is quite difficult to do sometimes! Plus, there is a demand for older children in the human traifficking world, not so much so for the babies and toddlers.
I think they left the younger children because younger children can be more difficult to manage, and kept quiet. Plus, whoever took Madeline would be less conspicuous if they were traveling with just one child instead of three.
Possible. Perhaps only one person was involved in the actual abduction. One person can't carry 3 unconscious children out of the room, out of the property and down the road by themselves.
In this week's People Magazine [ May 17,2010 with Bret Michaels on the cover] there is a pretty extensive feature on the Madeline McCann story. I didn't realize it but this May marked the 3 year anniversary of her disapearance.
Her parents are no longer considered suspects and Madeline would be 7 years old today.
It is hard to see people in suffering, and clearly, the mother is.I wish there had been a better investigation. This one shouldn't have gotten away.
