I am familiar with this story. I have to say while I'm glad he's gone (saved us taxpayers some money),I'm sorry that the victims families will never find the closure they're seeking. They'll never know the motive behind these crimes (I'm convinced he was guilty as sin.)
As far as his fiancee goes, I think she began to doubt him also. Not only did she cancel the wedding, but ultimately ended their relationship. She had not had any contact with him for a long time at the time of his death.
