So, I was watching the local news here this evening, and was horrified, and extremely po'd over a story. A woman who was extremely intoxicated (among other things), had the cops called on her because she was so out of control. So, the cops showed up, arrested her, and were taking her to their police car. On the way to the car, while handcuffed, this capital B of a woman noticed a little kitten on the way to the car, and stomped on it's head, killing it, while in the presence of the cops who had just arrested her! Naturally, additional charges of animal cruelty joined the other charges already against her. She was just ticked off that her family had called the cops on her, so, she took it out on some poor little defenseless kitten. The children who lived at the home that this woman was arrested at (the kids aren't hers), saw the entire thing. It never ceases to amaze me how cold hearted some people can be!
You know I don't have the market cornered on profiling by any stretch of the imagination but if I was profiling her that one act would set her in the sociopath catagory.
I hope they throw the book at her but once again,my faith in the justice system is cynical to say the best.
She's very familiar with the police (if you know what I mean.) While I've not heard anything else lately about this case, if she is out, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she screws up again.
This story really hits a nerve. I don't hate many things With two exceptions...People who hurt children and people who hurt animals. From what i've seen though the USA has far stricter laws than Australia for both of these offences and a good thing too.
