I have a couple of updates on this case. First off, a third movie, Paradise 3, is currently being filmed. I don't know when it will be aired on tv.

As of November 2010, the Arkansas Supreme Court ordered a lower-court judge to examine whether the three inmates should be exonerated in light of new DNA evidence. DNA from the crime scene was tested in 2007, and the results of the test "conclusively excluded Echols, Baldwin and Misskelley as the source of the DNA evidence tested," the Supreme Court wrote in its ruling. The justices also said the lower court must examine claims of misconduct by the jurors who sentenced Damien Echols to death and Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin to life in prison. The Justices also ordered new evidentiary hearings for Miskelley and Baldwin.

Paradise Lost 3 was completed in the spring of 2010 (just found this out.) So, be looking for it, I'm sure it's aired by now, although, I haven't seen it yet.

OK so I have been looking around and have found that John Mark Byers the (very strange) step father? of one of the murdered boys, has written his memiors, the introduction of which intimates that he no longer thinks TWM3 are guilty.

The most recent estimate I can find for the release of Paradise Lost 3 is early 2011, I have no idea how accurate this is. I will probably have to buy it if I want to see it before i'm 60.

As freaky as he is,Byers has been cleared. They looked at Terry Hobbs too.

Your post is confusing,420. CNN has a piece about the murders and this is what I think you are talking about. I also want to point out the first 2 documentaries were released on HBO DVD so keep an eye out for them to be released on that format for the next one,the 3rd. evileye

NP,I'm here to inform and reform,LOL. Ya know,it is my dream to see #3 end with the exoneration of the WM3 and maybe at the end of the next installment that would be the end or at least closer to finding the truth. It's out there,peeps. Keep the faith for 3 innocent men. As always,www.wm3.org

Oh and the documentaries were done by Berlinger/Sinofsky,the team who also did Metallica's "Some Kind Of Monster". evileye

Thanks for the info. Anna. I've been reading the court transcripts for this case. The police and the defence attorneys really made a hash of it. Judge Burnett should really have recused himself.

Oh,this has been the biggest mess. Talk about misconduct! I wish you would have been here when we did our t-shirt project. We got 50 of the original "Free The West Memphis 3" shirts and sent them to the supporters. Damn it! I'd have liked to send you one. evileye

Getting their freedom is not enough for me, although, that would be a huge step in the right direction. But I also want the real killer(s) to be punished for this crime.

That would be ideal but I wonder if anyone will ever be prosecuted for this terrible crime after the WMPD mishandled the evidence so badly.

You probably already know but the childrens clothes were not bagged immediately, they were laid on the bank of the bayou to dry. Also the children's poor little bodies were covered with blankets and not put into new body bags immediately.

Because the evidence has been compromised I am guessing that any lawyer can now claim secondary contamination If someone else is charged for this. furious

Even if the WM3 are proven to be innocent,I honestly don't believe this is ever going to be solved.

It's honestly too painful to consider that someone is walking the earth scot-free for this horrible,evil act. evileye

I happen to catch an episode of Cold Case today. The episode I saw was so easily recognizably based on the West Memphis 3 (3 young boys, found murdered. 3 young punks, arrested, tried and convicted of the crime, simply because they were from the wrong side of the tracks.No evidence actually tying them to the murders. It turned out in the end of the episode that the father of one of the boys was the real killer.) If only reality mirrored tv.

Interesting Navywife thanks, I'll try to find the episode and watch it. I've often wondered if one of the parents from WM committed the crime......

I've wondered if possibly one of the parents did it or had someone do it. I was really suspicious when Melissa Byers OD'D or I believe it was either Heroin or Dilaudid [although where you could get that to use on the street with a needle is quite the quandry,Dilaudid would be hard to get.]

All I know is they are innocent and as long as I work this website I will keep this topic on the board. Free the WM3!!! evileye

I remember seeing Mark Byers in one of the Paradise Lost, probably II. He was talking about Melissa's death and he refers to it as "my wifes murder" or something to that effect. He doesn't even realise what he's said. I am incredibly suspicious of Byers probably because of his criminal history. As a grieving parent he just wasn't believable............. Maybe I just can't stand the man.

There have been some new developments in the case of the West Memphis Three.The AK Supreme Court has ordered testing and hearings to investigate the case against Jason Baldwin [who just had his birthday on April 11] Jessie Misskelley and Damian Echols.

Here are some links for you.One is the main website which has the state hearing/rulings and the other is a download from the rock band Disturbed,a song called "3" with all proceeds going to benefit the fund.It is .99 cents.I spend 5x that at Starbucks every day and I know you probably have some change in a glass jar somwhere.

I signed up for the John Mark Byers webboard today.See if I can find anything I didn't already know. Honestly gang,he's given me the creeps for years.But I honestly don't know if there is something there that I don't know and If there is,I'd damn sure like to hear it.
