I just finished this book, and I have to say, I really have no idea what I think about this case haha (i usually always know what I think.)
The mother has some obviously very farfetched ideas about her son's fate. (Johnny Gosch was kidnapped Sept 5, 1982, while on his morning paper route. His fate is unknown to this day.) And she and Johnny's father, now divorced, have very different ideas on what happened to their son. However, as has been proven by Jaycee Duggard, Elizabeth Smart, and Carlina White, anything is possible. So while the mother's ideas may seem farfetched, they may turn out to to be alot closer to the truth than anyone realizes. This case has so many twists and turns to it, it's hard to keep up, and the book did not help me in deciding anything.
I will say however, that if anything, this book, and Johnny mother, have both brought some much needed attention to child sex rings, human sex trafficking, and kidnapped children. And I do hope that she does find closure as to exactly what happened to her son.
If I can find this book I'll give it a read, it sounds interesting. I guess the mother is living in the hope of her sons return. It must be just horrific not to know your child's fate, so many terrible things would go through your mind. i always feel so sorry for those left behind also.
