Today is Sept. 23. And if Jennifer Servo were still alive, she would have celebrated her 32nd birthday today. However, Jennifer hasn't been able to celebrate any birthdays since Sept. 16, 2002, when she was brutally murdered in her home. Jennifer's killer has never been caught.
Jennifer was a news reporter in Abeliene Tx, at the time of her death. She was also a reservist in the U.S. Army reserves. Today, there remains two prime suspects in her murder: Her boyfriend, Ralph Sepluveda, who had a shady past, and a rocky relationship with Jennifer, and no alibi for the night of her murder, and Brian Travers, her coworker, with whom she had also been briefly romantically involved, and who was the last person to see her before her death, and who's story of the last time he saw her doesn't quite add up. He too, has no alibi for the night of her murder, and both his prints, and her boyfriend's prints were found inside her home. Ralph Sepluveda has refused to cooperate with police during most of the investigation, and refused to take a lie detector test. While Brian Travers has cooperated, police are unable to clear him as a suspect, as there are too many questions remaining about his story of the last time he saw Jennifer, questions he either can't, or won't provide answers for.
Happy Birthday Jennifer. Thank you for serving your country. I hope in return your country can someday soon find the justice you have deserved for so long, and the closure your family needs.
