Satara Stratton was a young, gorgeous, good girl from the city I live in with with big Hollywood dreams. She moved to Hollywood from Chattanooga, TN several yrs ago. Unfortunately, her acting career didn't take off as she had hoped. She landed a few bit parts in indie films, but that was the extent of her acting career so far.
As is the case for so many who try to make it big in Hollywood and fail, Satara got sucked into the wrong crowd, and is now believed to be with a sex offender in Hollywood who got her addicted to drugs, and has been holding her against her will. She has also failed to contact her family back here in TN, and up until 2 weeks ago, she was in almost daily contact with them, either via phone or email. The sex offender she has been seen with has also suddenly dropped out of sight. One of the last emails she sent was to a friend, and her email contained the words scared, threatened, and help me. She was planning a trip home when she disappeared.
The LAPD has told Satara's mother that due to budget cuts and their overloaded case load, they don't have much time to devote to a missing drug addicted adult. If they won't help Satara, then maybe we can. Let's find Satara and help her get home before it's too late!
Satara Stratton has been found in an L.A. area hospital, and her mother is on her way to California to reunite with her, and will hopefully return home to Tn with her. However this story is far from over... the mother has made several allegations, including that her daughter was held prisoner by a convicted sex offender, forced into prostitution and drug use, and is suffering from several external injuries. She's also made allegations against the LAPD for doing little to nothing to investigate Satara's disappearence, since Satara has unfortunately acquired a criminal record in L.A. (mostly drug charges.) The police have hinted that most of the allegations concerning what Satara went thru were lies and stories Satara told her mother in order to hide her drug habit and criminal activity.
Regardless, the police can't ignore the fact that a convicted sex offender who has been closely linked to Satara's disappearence has suddenly vanished himself, after Satara's disappearence made national headlines. Even if Satara did lie to her mother about some things, it's obvious the pos sex offender was responsible for some of it, and has broken laws, and the police better damn well find him and lock him up before he hurts someone else.
Below is a link to an article detailing her disappearence (before she was found.) However, I'm using this link as it also has a picture of the sex offender, who still needs to be found and questioned.
Wow. Close call. Pray her life can be turned around. It reminds me of the words to a song I love...
"As I walk through the Valley of the shadows of L.A./The footsteps that were next to me/Now have gone their seperate ways....I've heard that evil comes disguised/In the City of Angels/I'm walking towards the light...."
Paul whats his name (last name is way too long), the sex offender related to this case, has finally been found and was arrested by LAPD earlier tonight. He is being held without bail. Satara's mom is with her daughter tonight in Cali as this case continues to unfold.
We seriously need stricter laws for convicted sex offenders. This could have turned out horribly! Thank God it didn't. Has she said anything about what happened?
Yeah... it seems that, as unbelieveable as parts of her story sound... that it's all true. And you're right, she got lucky that her mom launched a massive, public search for her, even after the lapd basically said she's a druggy, she's got a criminal record, really not worth our time. Here's a link to an interview Satara recently gave:
This link kind of raises some questions. I was under the impression she left home and went out to California, went missing. She'd been living there for some time and eventually lost contact with her family.Because she was known to law enforcement, and knew her abductor,it was assumed she went willingly with him and was not in a scenerio where her well being was in jeopardy.
Hard to say what really happened. Meth is so disgusting.Don't believe me? Click on this link and look at the girl.
She did go out to Cali and go missing, just not as quickly as you thought. But because of her history with law enforcement, the police didn't think, at first, she was missing... until they actively began investigating and realized that they couldn't find her, or the sex offender she had been seen with, and then they began to take the case seriously.
