Two Sad Anniversaries..Two Families Still Awaiting Justice

I'm sure there are other cases that occured in June, but these are the two that popped into my head.

Tomorrow, June 12, marks 14 years since Christina Williams disappeared while walking her family dog in Seaside, CA.  She was kidnapped, and 7 months later her decomposed body was found just a couple of miles from her home.  While her family knows what happened to her, they still do not know who commited this terrible crime.   No arrests have been made in this case.

June 4, 2010, marked the 2nd year since Kyron Hormon disappeared from his elementary school in Portland, OR.  Kyron's fate remains totally unknown.  His body has not been found.  His stepmother is considered the prime suspect, but she isn't talking.

Two families are still awaiting justice for the crimes that happened to their children.  As time passes and memory fades, justice becomes more elusive.  Let's keep these families in our thoughts, and their stories alive, so that they may finally find the justice and the closure they so desperately need.  Please do not forget Christina or Kyron, and help bring the people who commited crimes against them to justice!

I knew of Christina's case because for some reason (not sure why) her case received attention from several celebrities. She was walking her dog the evening she disappeared. A while later (not sure how long), the dog showed up at home, with his leash trailing behind him, but Christina wasn't with him. Despite massive searches, her body wasn't found until several months later. During the course of the investigation it was revealed that an adult woman jogging in Christina's neighborhood on the evening Christina disappeared was approached and accsoted by two men and they tried to force her into their car, but she got away. It's believed by investigators that these two men later tried the same thing with Christina and are responsible for her disappearence and death. Suspect sketches were released to the public, as well as a sketch of their car, but, no arrests have ever been made.

And yes, Kyron was the little boy who's stepmother claimed she dropped him off at school. And he was seen at school, because there are pictures of him at his school's science fair that morning, that his stepmother took because she attended the science fair with him. But he was never seen after the science fair, never seen in any of his classes. She's the prime suspect in his disappearence after what has come to light in the investigation.

And I'm glad to be back :) it's nice to be missed.
