New Hearing In Jeffrery McDonald Case

For you young pups who aren't familiar with this case is a very brief background on this case:

McDonald was an Army doctor.. and also a green beret.  He was accused, tried, and convicted of the triple murders of his pregnant wife and his young daughters in 1970.  He has ALWAYS maintained his innocence... and there are countless conspiracy theories on both sides of this... it's a very complicated, very sad case.  Ironically,15 yrs later later, another brutal triple homicide commited by another Army green beret would happen.. in the same town.. from the same Army Base.  The two cases share alot of eerie similarities.

A new hearing has been scheduled for McDonald, where new evidence is to be considered.

In knew this was going to come up. It's ridiculuos. He tryed to say it was a copy cat killing in the Manson Family vein and made up a bunch of alternate scenerios.

I have a copy of the book I'll give it a run down.

Here's the issue I always had with his story... he is, or was, a GREEN BERET. How the hell is a Green Beret not going to hear drug crazed hippies break into his house, especially if he's asleep on the couch, and kill his wife and daughters before he knew what was going on? BS. They are specially trained in all kinds of ninja super secret squirrel warfare tactics... a trained Green Beret could have taken on the lot of them.

I just don't buy the story that this guy who had highly specialized kick your butt into next week training didn't hear people high as a kite on drugs break into his house, murder his wife and daughters, and wake up only after they began beating him. Not buying it.

*Stuff I didn't know about the Macdonald Murder.....

*Jeff had a psychotic older brother who was institutionalized after trying to beat their elderly Mother on a street corener and the cops having to be called and him being instutionalized.

*While in the hospital after the murders,Jeffery Macdonald was examined by a psychariast who deemed him,"Completely normal". confuse

*Collette was pregnant with a son, their third child at the time of the murders.

I've had this book for a long time and admittedly,I've never read the whole thing. I'll have to do that. I always assumed he was guilty because he was FOUND guilty in a court of law.

I wonder if the baby was really his? There have been constant rumors that the baby was in fact not his.

I didn't know that. The rumor I heard OPERATIVE WORD HERE RUMOR was that he didn't want anymore kids and that's why he did this. Now like I said,I''m not well educated on this case but I've been reading up and I found on Wiki that another book was written:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Wilderness_of_Error:_The_Trials_of_Jeffrey_MacDonald

And that you can read for yourself that the author is truely obsessed with the case and is as well, convinced Jeff is innocent.Lokk for yourself. I'm still reading and trying to educate myself. I have to admit the whole thing is a crackerbox of crazy.

BTW if Jeff serves out his entire sentance he will be 128 years old on his release. His next parole hearing is in 2020.

What I find so ironic...the case that I'm obsessed with is so tragicially similar to this case. In the mid 80's, and Air Force wife and 2 of her three young children were brutally murdered..known as the Easburn murders, in the same town that the Mcdonald Murders happened. And the man convicted of those murders was also stationed at the same Army base that McDonald was. But in perhaps the strangest twist of all... the babysitter for the Eastburns was a penpal of McDonald while he was in jail! They wrote many letters back and forth.....until the Eastburn murders. And then for some unexplained reason, McDonald suddenly cut off all contact with his young, female penpal, and refused to answer any more of her letters.
