A child cries and screams in the night.  Neighbors can hear the child being assaulted and beaten because she broke a vase.  What do they do.... NOTHING. 

A few miles from where I live,  a 12 yr old girl was beaten and assaulted by her babysitter for breaking a vase (it wasn't revealed if the vase was broken by accident or on purpose.)  The babysitter then proceeds to beat the crap out of the child with a belt, and then throws the injured, bloodied child out on the street.  The neighbors heard everything that happened, but refused to get involved, so the child had to walk to a fast food restaurant over a mile away to seek help.  Thankfully, the employees at the restaurant sprang into action as soon as the child entered the restaurant.  They called police and paramedics and treated her injuries as best they could until help arrived.  Way to go to those employees!!  A great big middle finger goes up to the neighbors who refused to help a badly beaten child. 

The woman who beat the child up was charged with child abuse, neglect, and aggrivated assault.
