CNN: Author James Elroy who wrote about the Black Dahlia murder and the fictional "L.A. Confidential" has released a new photographic memoir full of crime scene photos from 1958 Los Angeles. Some graphic and disturbing, NSFW, some just interesting, this is a small preview of what it was like for law enforcement back in the day. His book came out on May 19.
