Daily Intellingencer: Police are investigating the double homicide of a Brooklyn housing project woman, 38 year old Rosie Sanchez and her boyfriend, 40 year old Anderson Nunez last Sunday night.
Nunez's 15 year old daughter Destiny Garcia, is a suspect in the slaying and police are looking for her 15 year old cousin who they believe may have taken part in the killing. According to reports, the girl told police she killed the two because the man had been sexually molesting her and the mother had done nothing to stop it. But police are doubting the claim, and believe the girl had an issue with her mother. The family had been described by neighbors as "always happy", and in shock at such a brutal crime. Garcia has been remanded without bail.
New York Daily News: Destiny Garcia. the 15 year old Brooklyn girl accused of murdering her mother and her mother's boyfriend, and leaving the bodies in their apartment, has confessed to the crime. According to this article, a cousin turned Garcia in for the killings and her initial story was that the mother's boyfriend was abusing her and the mother didn't put a stop to it. When that version didn't fly, she said the mother was abusing her and the boyfriend wouldn't help her.

Grand jury proceedings will be conducted this week in the case, although Garcia is not expected to attend, when she will find out if she will be indicted for murder. If convicted, she may face up to 30 years behind bars.

No, you know what? I'm not sorry. Screw that! What in the hell kind of upbringing did these kids have? Every other damn story is a minor committing a murder, a rape, a robbery or something equally heinous. Like, what in the holy hell. I knew what murder was when I was a child, old enough to know it was some super bad ! It never occured to me Slenderman or The Joker could kill my family so I better kill someone else first! I guess I'm just ranting now since I've been on vacation for a couple of months and I haven't had a good rant in a while.Man, it's just been one kid after another committing one crime after another and it blows my mind. It's sad and it sucks and I fear for the next generation.
MSN/New York Daily News: A man who provided the weapon that his teen girlfriend used to murder her mother and mother's boyfriend has been indicted on two counts of first degree murder.
Jerry Maisonette is expected to be arraigned on the updated charges of intentional murder on Friday [yesterday, sorry y'all 3-4-2016]. Maisonette is the 28 year old boyfriend of Destiny Garcia who is charged with the murder of her mother, citing abuse as an excuse for the attack.
Under the law, because of her age she can't be charged with intentional murder.
I don't know how to feel about that. Not good, obviously, it is a tragedy for the family and we'll never know if she was really being abused since her mother took what she knew to the grave. But it strikes me as highly inappropriate and suspicious that a 15 year old girl had a 28 year old boyfriend. Very sad story.
