Carina Saunders, age 19 in 2011, was abducted and murdered in Oklahoma after leaving a casino called the Newberry. Her dismembered body was found 5 days later behind a grocery store in an Oklahoma City suburb. Two men were charged but later released for lack of evidence. One suspect initiated a lawsuit [link below not sure if it was successful] at this time, no one has been arrested for this crime.
Here's where it gets a million times worse in my opinion.
Authorities have announced a $10K reward for anyone who can produce a copy of a supposed video tape of the torture/murder. The OSBI is working the case and I'm honestly at a loss for words. I'll post some links and then be back tomorrow after I've read more. Be safe people. Take care of each other
I'm reading a lot of these links and from what I can see, it seems to suggest that Carina was taken into some kind of trafficking situation and killed in front of other young women. Kind of a "this will happen to you if you don't go along with orders" kind of thing. Human trafficking is alive and well as much as we don't want to believe it. It's not just a third world problem.
This particular link reports that the police found where they think Carina was murdered and name 5 people of interest in connection with the case. It also reports that people with information are too afraid to come forward which makes complete sense to me. Look at the brutality and nature of what happened.
