This case is particularly gruesome so before you go balls deep in this story I'm about to write about, just take a minute, breathe and remember evil is a real thing.
On August 24, 2016 10 year old Victoria Martens was found dead in her mother's apartment, the victim of rape, murder and dismemberment. Her body was wrapped up and someone tried to set her remains on fire in a bathtub.
Michelle Martens, Victoria's mother, Fabian Gonzalez and Jessica Kelly are all being held in a New Mexico jail awaiting trial for her murder. The mother, while being interviewed by police, said she set up dates through the dating app Plenty Of Fish and deliberately picked men she thought would molest one or both of her children, while she watched for her pleasure. Yeah. You read that right.
Neighbors called the police and that's when they found her body, smouldering in a bathtub. Michelle tried to jump off her balcony to run from the cops, but broke her leg in the fall and was caught.
There are plenty of details that are just so horrific I can't seem to get past them:
Victoria was given meth and booze to "calm her down" while she was raped, the autopsy showed not only sexual abuse, but she had HPV and possibly hepatitis c.
This is why we have the death penalty. Except New Mexico overturned that years ago. So in my mind they won't get what's really coming to them.
All 3 will be tried seperately, starting this fall. I'll try and link you guys on the details but I don't know if there will be a camera in the court or a gag order.

The second one is really interesting to me because....well frankly what the hell, yo? There has been a request for Michelle Martins EBT card records. For those of you who don't know what that is, It's the card the government give you if you receive federal aid like food stamps. I can not for the life of me imagine what they could be looking for but I assure you I'll lose sleep over it. Damn these evil people.
I read through the autopsy reports and I don't think I can even comprehend what in God's name is wrong with these sick people. It is literally beyond human understanding how anyone could do something so sick, and so inhumane. This is just too much, y'all. And I'm still pissed New Mexico doesn't have the DP. I know, I know, I go back and forth with that whole thing.

This link is really interesting. DNA samples sent for testing in the case are being tested in Florida using a new forensic tool called STRmix and can make male DNA easier to find. As always, it comes with its own flaws and I hope this doesn't wind up getting screwed over and crucial evidence gets lost/thrown out. Here's your link.
From Crime Watch Daily: litigators and staff working on the case of the murder of Victoria Martin's are having a problem with Google.
It seems a request for information in the gmail accounts of the 3 accused in the child's death will not be disclosed because the state did not provide enough detail about what they wanted and what they wanted it for.
Prosecutors have handed in 14 notices to interview witnesses in the case of the murder of 10 year old Victoria Martens. The trials for all three will be separated and begin in June 2018.
And that Google thing? I read today,again at CWD that Google was given an application to hand over the gmail account information for the 3 accused, and were given a date of 12-30-17 to turn them over to the state. Google refused!
Now, I didn't know you could tell the police to go to hell like that. I really didn't. But apparently you can and Google's reasoning was that they didn't have enough background as to what they were looking for even though that request stated they wanted images, texts,maps and other emails from all 3 of the accused's accounts.
I didn't know about this until today, someone at the office hit me up and told me that Jessica Kelley, the cousin of Fabian Gonzalez and second suspect in this crime was sentenced at the beginning of the year to 7 years in prison for a drug charge that was pending against her. She was literally arrested days after being released from jail on another charge. Drug dealing, I believe.
What the hell is going on here?
How on earth did they manage to do all this crap, some of it truly evil and just go on living their lives like nothing ever happened?
Of course her legal team got all huffy and said the court was being unnecessarily harsh and with the trial of Victoria's murder coming up, there's no way she can get a fair trial. I guess we'll see about that, won't we?
