Family sues Phoenix's Sky Harbor Terminal for intoxicated woman's death

I don't know if you remember this case,I'll give you a little brief.Carol Gotbaum was flying from NYC to Tucson,AZ to a $42,000 a month rehab clinic.She was left to make the trip ALONE and in missing her connecting flight at Sky Harbor,she became intoxicated on top of medication.When she couldn't make her connection,she became combative.Screaming,"I'M NOT A TERRORIST!" and throwing her Blackberry against the wall,the TSA called the police and security.She was taken into custody and managed to choke herself to death on her restraints.

Well,I'll tell ya.I've been in and out of this airport on every concievable flight [to Europe,Amsterdam,NYC,California,Las Vegas,Connecticut] and I have never had one problem.And I'll freely admit on a few occasions I had a few bloody marys under my belt.biggrin I feel this is without merit and wrong about 100 ways.Anyone want to discuss,I have tons of facts and you can have some too at this url:

I got an email concerning this topic and they asked that I not re-print it but to make it known to everyone who visits so that they can be "informed" although to be honest,I consider this to be more of a public servic announcement for the family of the deceased.
Take it away.

"Carol was a loving wife and mother who was abused at the hands of the system.She did not go to Arizona looking to be mistreated by the Phoenix Police Department and die frightened and alone. She left behind two beautiful children and a wonderful husband.This is a travesty and an outrage and as I know you are from Phoenix,I am asking you to please print this and not use my name. If you were a mother,wouldn't you hope someone would do the same for you?"

WELL.
Turns out,I am,and I would.And I generally don't offer people anonimity in this way.Why I'm doing it now,I don't know because I feel the Gotlieb family is at fault.BUT there it is,and I can sleep easy. I can honestly say I wish it was that easy for her family,no matter who's to blame.    evileye
