An interesting and altogether not impossible theory. Somewhat farfetched, but, not completely. Not nearly as farfetched as the defense's theory that Caylee drowned accidentially. And here is why the defense is so farfetched. If Caylee really did accidentially drown, then why was duct tape found on her skeletal remains over her nose and mouth? If she was already dead, why did they duct tape her?
I thought she had something going there too! You know,Lee was all "Go Casey!" then poof! He suddenly gets all,no comment. What is that about? I really think he knows something he's not telling but it's a potential migraine trying to figure THAT out.
Still think George and Cindy are closet cases with mondo sized secrets. That kid didn't accidentally drown! Bull! If it had been some kind of accidental drowning,Casey would have called the cops/911 and had a big old "WAAAA HELPPPP!" and then proceeded to turn it into The Casey Anthony Show complete with Oprah interview. She would have made Susan Smith look small time in comparason. Then she would have been off scot free to go out and party as much as she wished without needing a sitter. This wasn't an accidental drowning.I can't believe the defense thinks the jury is going to buy that crap.
The NBC news last night showed hundreds of people practically trampling over each other to get in another for a seat in the court room to watch the Casey Anthony trial. They were literally runny and shoveing to get in line to get a ticket to try and get in the spector's gallery to watch this.
Even if I could get in I don't think I 'd was the first in line.
(CNN) -- The Casey Anthony murder trial ended an hour and a half early on Thursday, with Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. telling members of the media in the courtroom that Anthony was ill.
Jurors were not told why the trial ended early Thursday, and Perry asked them not to speculate. He said court would be in recess until Friday.
After the jurors left, Perry spoke to members of the media in the courtroom, saying that Anthony was ill and that neither the prosecution nor the defense had any comment on the matter. The judge asked reporters not to question either side about it. The details of Anthony's illness were not given.
During a short break before the announcement, Anthony drank a bottle of water quietly as attorneys spoke together and went back to Perry's chambers, according to In Session's Michael Christian. She was escorted out of the courtroom during the break, then brought back in, but lay her head down on her arms at the defense table. She did not stand as the jurors left the courtroom.
Earlier Thursday, testimony centered on the recovery of the skeletal remains of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, from a wooded area in December 2008. Anthony cried as photographs of the remains were displayed in the Orlando courtroom and avoided looking at the screen where they were displayed.
Anthony, 25, faces seven counts in Caylee's death, including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and misleading investigators. If convicted, she could face the death penalty.
The toddler's family last saw her on June 16, 2008, but no one alerted police until July 15, when the girl's maternal grandmother tracked down Casey Anthony and demanded answers.
Prosecutors allege Casey Anthony used chloroform on her daughter and suffocated her by putting duct tape over the little girl's mouth and nose. They allege she put her daughter's body in her car trunk before disposing of it. Caylee's skeletal remains were found on December 11, 2008, less than a mile from the home of Casey Anthony's parents.
Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty and denied having anything to do with her daughter's death. Defense attorney Jose Baez has said that when all the facts are known, it will become clear his client is innocent.
As the photographs were displayed Thursday, jurors heard testimony from Orange County Sheriff's Office crime scene technician Jennifer Welch, along with Steve Hanson, chief investigator for the medical examiner's office, and Gary Utz, Orange County chief deputy
Welch detailed items found with the little girl's remains, including a black plastic bag, an off-white canvas bag, a red plastic Disney bag, a pair of shorts, a blanket and "clothing remnants." Duct tape could be seen on the facial region of the skull, she testified.
Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, were not in the courtroom while the photos were shown Thursday.
Jurors also heard a recording of a 911 call in which a utility worker reported that meter reader Roy Kronk claimed to have found a skull at the site where the remains were found.
Questioned by Baez, Welch agreed that it was paramount that a crime scene or remains not be tampered with, saying it could affect an investigation.
Numerous photographs were introduced into evidence of the skull, along with the duct tape on it and other items found at the scene, such as the canvas laundry bag.
Utz testified the skull had its jawbone, or mandible, still attached, which was relatively rare given the stage of decomposition. The duct tape, he testified, was helping keep the jawbone attached, along with hair on the
Thursday morning, jurors heard testimony from Casey Anthony's brother, who testified that his sister -- out of jail on bail the month after Caylee was reported missing -- told him an alternate version of how the little girl was kidnapped by her nanny.
He said his sister told him in August 2008 that she had met the nanny, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, at an Orlando park along with Gonzalez's sister. Casey Anthony told him that Gonzalez held her down and told her that she was taking Caylee from her because she wasn't a good mother, "to teach her a lesson," Lee Anthony said.
Gonzalez also warned her not to go to the police, according to Casey Anthony's account.
Lee Anthony recalled his sister saying, "she couldn't believe it was happening, and it felt kind of surreal to her," he testified. She said she did nothing to stop her child from being taken, he recounted, because "she was scared and she didn't know what to do."
His sister told him that, from time to time, Gonzalez would contact her through Casey Anthony's MySpace page and direct her as to what to do and where to go. She went to the locations, she said, in hopes of seeing or retrieving her daughter but was never successful in finding her.
Casey Anthony's account, as related by Lee Anthony, differed markedly from the one she gave authorities after Caylee was reported missing. She maintained to police she dropped the child off at the nanny's apartment that morning and never saw her again.
Authorities were never able to find the nanny. They did find a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez, who denied ever meeting Casey Anthony or Caylee and later sued for defamation.
"Zanny never materialized?" Baez asked Lee Anthony Thursday. "To this day, no," he replied.
Lee Anthony also testified Thursday that he was the one searching the Internet on the Anthony family computer July 15 and 16, 2008. A computer examiner testified Wednesday that no searches for Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez were found on the computer until July 16 -- dealing a potential blow to Casey Anthony's claims to authorities that she was frantically searching for her daughter in the month before her disappearance was reported.
Computer experts testified Wednesday that in March, someone using the desktop computer, located in the home Casey Anthony shared with her parents, searched for terms including "chloroform," "inhalation," "how to make chloroform" and "head injury."
The searches were found in a portion of the computer's hard drive that indicated they had been deleted, Detective Sandra Osborne of the Orange County Sheriff's Office testified Wednesday.
However, she told jurors, deleted material remains on a computer's hard drive and can be retrieved until it is overwritten by new data. It had not been overwritten on the Anthonys' computer, she said, and "a complete Internet history" was obtained.
It appears the computer user first searched for "chloraform" on Google and received results for "chloroform," said John Bradley, owner of the software development company that created the software used to retrieve the data. One of the search results was from Wikipedia.org, which was accessed, he testified.
On the other terms, he said the user either typed those terms in to search, or in some instances may have clicked on hyperlinks on the Wikipedia site.
Bradley agreed with Baez's assertion that the links do not tell jurors what was on the websites accessed, and that some sites could have been jokes or information on self-defense. He also agreed he could not say how closely the user was examining the websites or whether a user was looking at multiple browsers.
There were two user-created profiles on the computer, but Osborne told Baez she could not tell who performed the searches.
Despite her assertions, prosecutors allege Casey Anthony was not looking for her missing daughter during the month before police were notified of her disappearance. Anthony's former boyfriend, friends and acquaintances who saw her during that time recalled her shopping, eating out, going to parties and hitting nightclubs, but all of them testified she never mentioned her missing daughter and none of them noticed any change in her demeanor.
Her mother testified that Anthony had moved out of her parents' home about the time Caylee went missing, offering little in the way of explanation, and that when she inquired after Caylee, she was told Caylee was with her nanny, Gonzalez.
Earlier in the week, jurors heard testimony regarding a foul odor emanating from Casey Anthony's trunk. A scientist testified that compounds associated with human decomposition were found there, and a cadaver dog handler testified that his dog "alerted" to the trunk.

This is the Nancy Grace timeline for the whole Casey Anthony case and trial. If she did this, and I believe she did,I hope the fry her. This whole thing is just sick.
The remarks at the end of the day are approching the close of the prosecution and into the beginning of the defense's case.
Casey was reportedly shunning her eyes and lowering her face when jurors were being shown crime scene photos of the remains of Caylee, one of her skull and a member of the unit's forensic team holding her tiny skull. [the skull was amonge blurred images shouwn on tv and the internet.] Fortunately, and I pray to my Heavenly Father those phose photos do not wind up on the internet. Can anyone say JonBenet Ramsey? HELLO?
I do not know how you feel but I invite you to comment as you wish. But for myself,I believe that Casey is lying, and has lied about so much and so many things that I'd be suprised if she can keep any of this strait in her own mind at that point.I'd just die to get a shot at interviewing her. Can you guys see that one? Annarocket VS Casey Anthony for the title showdown? It would be like the last sceme in Gladior where Russell Crowe and Joquiem Phoenix go all balls out in the Roman Colleseum! But I digress.
I'm thinking by the very lastest the case will get the jurt by Friday and the prosecution will have the case by Monday. We'll see, guys.
Casey Anthony has been called every name in the book...mostly by me,LOL. But in this series of clips by Dateline NBC,Casey is being portrayed as a sociopath who coldly and single handly killed her child and is now painting herself as the victim of sexual abuse at the hands of her father.
In conversations with the police, she admits she had lied and wants to help them find her daughter. She talks to her parents from jail and insists she is as much of a victim as they are and needs to be portrayed as such. It's fascinating stuff.I can't help but think this woman's own words are going to sink her. It's Diane Downs all over again.
To access the video scroll to the bottom of the link and you'll see a grid of tiny pictures.Move your mouse over each one and it will say things like "The State Against Casey Anthony Part 1" and you can see what the state of Florida has got going on.
Miss Casey,Miss Casey,do you sleep well tonight? Do you sleep the quiet breathing of the peace of one who knows she will be free this time next week or do you lie awake in fear, wondering if you will be forever destined to look over your shoulder for the one sociopath to avenge poor Caylee and send you to the afterlife?
I can not help but wonder.
You guys would not believe the absolute insanity my email has gone with the vote 9 to 1 that the jury made an ingross incalculation against Casey but finding her not guilty except for 4 counts of lying to the police. Her release date has been set at July 17,2011. Obviously,it has not been said where she will go or where she will stay but wherever it it,Casey, you may rest assured that the deeds of our lives follow us throughout and into the afterlife where the judgement of what happened to little Caylee will sit squarly upon your shoulders.
The jurors (who still aren't being named publicly) aren't saying they think she's innocent. They're saying that the prosecution didn't have a strong enough case. But many of the jurors believed that she did indeed have something to do with the death of Caylee. Even if the murderer(s) aren't brought to justice by our court system, they will eventually pay for what they did to poor Caylee.
Our god is a loving and forgiving god. That is not always what Christians want. We must trust in God's will and for whatever reason, he willed things this way. He may have different plans for those involved in this case, as difficult as that is for the rest of us to see or understand.
I appriciate your sentiment,I have religious beliefs myself. It's unfortunate that no one is going to be held accountable on earth at this time for Caylee's death.I think that's what everyone here really wanted and I think again, that Casey knows very well what happened to Caylee and is just not ever going to say.
Tragic, unnecessary and in my opinion not properly prosecuted.
State report finds Casey Anthony 'responsible' for daughter's death

Casey Anthony is free after a jury reached its decision last month following a months-long trial.

The girl's mother "is the caregiver responsible" for her death, the report finds
A Florida jury acquitted Casey Anthony on murder charges
(CNN) -- Casey Anthony is responsible for the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, a report released Thursday by Florida's Department of Children and Families concludes.
A month after a jury acquitted Anthony on murder and child neglect charges, the state agency found that Anthony "is the caregiver responsible for the verified maltreatments of death, threatened harm and failure to protect" in her daughter's death.
Carrie Hoeppner, a spokeswoman for the Department of Children and Families, said the report was issued this week as a "professional courtesy" after the sheriff's office and prosecutors finished their work on the case.
She added that the state agency is mandated to conduct reviews when there are allegations that a child dies as a result of abuse, abandonment or neglect. The agency had no contact with the Anthonys prior to the girl's disappearance in the summer of 2008, Hoeppner added.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office will not take any further action as a result of the report, Capt. Angelo Nieves said Thursday.
Casey Anthony: America's most hated
"This closes out the DCF case, and it does not create additional follow-up on our part," he said.
The report said: "The Department of Children and Families concludes that the actions or the lack of actions by the alleged perpetrator ultimately resulted or contributed in the death of the child." The report was signed by officials in the department Wednesday.
Anthony is now free. While she was cleared on murder and aggravated child abuse charges, the 25-year-old Orlando woman was convicted on four counts related to misleading law enforcement authorities. She was sentenced to four years in jail on those convictions, but was given credit for the time she had already served between her arrest and the end of the seven-week trial and was released from jail in mid-July. Prosecutors cannot appeal the acquittals.
The report does not address, or substitute for, judgments regarding the guilt or innocence of the caregiver -- in this case, Casey Anthony -- DCF spokeswoman Hoeppner said.
The state report found that Anthony's "failure to act" in the 31 days between the time the girl was last seen and when police were alerted about the case "delayed and interfered with a law enforcement investigation and best efforts to safely recover the child."
The agency report noted there were "no indicators" that Caylee's death was caused by physical injury, and it was "not substantiated" that she died of asphyxiation -- both points of great contention during the trial.
An autopsy performed in December 2008 by the local medical examiner determined "that the exact cause of death cannot be determined with certainty." Prosecutors tried, unsuccessfully, to convince jurors that Anthony used chloroform to render her daughter unconscious and then duct-taped her mouth and nose to suffocate her.
In its recommendations section, the report said that "the maternal grandfather" -- in this case, George Anthony -- "should have been interviewed for the missing person report." Casey Anthony's defense lawyer had claimed, in the opening argument of the murder trial, that George Anthony knew Caylee had died accidentally and helped cover up her death.
Casey Anthony had been investigated by the agency, when state child welfare investigators determined on September 14, 2008, that there were "verified findings" indicating that Anthony was responsible for "inadequate supervision and threatened harm" of her child, although it found "no indicators of physical injury."
Exactly a month later, a grand jury indicted Anthony on murder and other charges, and the case was eventually reopened by the Department of Children and Families. No further detail was immediately offered as to why or exactly when the department chose to review the case, or why it came out this week.
The report released Thursday officially closes the department's investigation in the case.
In Session's Lena Jakobsson and CNN's Melanie Whitley contributed to this orning Ladies and Gents From Phoenix:
I live about 15 minutes north of Orlando... this case gripped our state and the nation for so long... I remember the very beginning of this whole mess, I was sitting at work and it blasted through the TV and was all over the news... years later I'm still gripped and praying for new evidence to bring justice to this tragic event...
I just want an answer for Caylee, an answer for what really happened and I want to know how a murder can just be left with so many untidy ends ? There is no closure... yes the defense says Caylee drowned, but that's not an end to the pain everyone is now involved in...
We haven't had anyone admit to being from where all this craziness was taking place so how you feel is really interesting to me.The media saturation where you live had got to be.....beyong nauseous at times!
Still,I'm sure it was just the trainwreck you couldn't look away from and hopefully it will die down now.I don't think we'll ever get the answers we want and as fas as there being an end to the pain, unfortunately,I don't think we will get that either.
I honestly think Cindy Anthony wanted to see her grandaughter.Casey is the only one who knows what had happened to the poor baby and Cindy tried to force Casey's hand by saying,"I will call the cops on you if you don't produce that kid now!" I don't think she ever in her wildest nightmares thought it would all turn out like this.
I have from the very start thought Cindy and George knew more than they were letting on. I don't mean to say that they were a part in the death of Caylee, I just think there is no way they wouldn't have gotten it out of Casey knowing how much they adored that little girl.
I lived far enough away that the media wasn't a thorn in my daily life, but it was everywhere when you turned on TV and Radio. I had actually volunteered to go search with the group that was on ATVs, but we weren't the group so famously publicized by all the drama with Equisearch and all.
I went through so many emotions and frame of minds with the who was guilty of what through out the years. I don't know that I believe Casey could have intentionally hurt Caylee and been a monster like was theorized on TV. I think it was a tragic accident that she handled horribly. But I still have my days where I flip flop and think she knowingly failed to protect Caylee. It's all so emotionally complicated for me.
I think a lot of people feel the same way,it is very emotionally complicated issue. I think George and Cindy had no idea how completely sociopathic their daughter was.She was a liar and a thief. She really didn't have much much loyalty to her friend Amy Huienzga, stealing checks from her and then cashing them,in addition to stealing from George and Cindy. It only got worse. There have been rumors of Casey in a sex tape and the people emailing me about it aren't half baked whackos. These are people I've communicated with for many years.I would not be suprised or shocked at anything Casey did at this point.
This is back to the whole thing about a child being the victim.A child can't fight back many times and that is why I believe we all become conflicted and emotional.
I agree Anna. And I think Cindy was doing anything and everything she could to find out exactly what happened to Caylee. And I think Casey's lawyer did whatever he had to do to get her off. We will never know what actually happened to Caylee. At least she's where no one can hurt her anymore.
Yeah,Caylee is in heaven and for that I am thankful, thankful she is free from fear and pain.No child should have to endure that.
Having said that,I want to say Jose Baez is the absolute scum of the earth.Between him and Cheney Mason, they are responsible for Casey's life.I hope you two jerks can sleep at night.Seriously.
I don't know if we will ever know what happened, and like I have said,Casey is the one with the answers. George may also know what happened and isn't talking. I've been villified for not having any sympathy for either of them, and honestly,I don't know that I care.I'm not going to justify my feelings.I don't have any answers that would satisfy the people who are angry anyway.
I would like to thank you guys though, for reading and writing in and caring.Even the haters! I need you just like I need our supporters. You guys are our backbone and we love you.
I can't believe the people who I heard talking today in reference to Casey Anthony. This older lady and what I assume was her middle aged daughter were actually commending Baez for "creating such a cluster**** that it led to Casey's freedom". They went on for about 5 minutes talking about how it was amazing that they kept everything drenched in doubt and that if they had taken a logical approach she very well could have been sentenced, which to them would have been a tragic outcome.
I don't have a personal cross to bare with this whole thing, but for someone to talk like that and be so absolutely smug about their opinion was REPULSIVE to me.
People are intitled to their opinions and feelings, but I found these two women to be absolutely enraging to me and they made my skin crawl. I'm usually not one to care or waste time on things that don't directly change my life or make a difference in my routine, but I felt so strongly about it that I had to express it somewhere.
What made me so mad was the WAY they talked. There is no way I can ever convey it so that anyone understands why I'm so enraged withouth having them hear it for themselves.
I saw on the local news last night that Casey is back in Florida and has been for a week.
I can't believe the judges brought her back to the state for the probation stuff. Not to say that I'm really honestly concerned for her safety ( I mean for sake she made her own bed ) but someone is going to be waiting for her in the bushes every time she checks in to her parole people... and one of those times she won't walk away from it...
I totally agree with you Billie, and that brings us to the Email Of The Week:
Dear Annarocket,
Casey Anthony has been found not guilty by a jury of her peers.Does that mean you are going to stop pile driving her into the ground? You and that pack of wolves you are leading at your message board just want somebody to tear down, vigalante style. At one time it was Scott Peterson, then Joran VanDerSloot, now it is poor Casey Anthony. That woman lost her baby! Lay off her! Gosh, you must not know what it's like to lose a loved one because you are one cold hearted .
Dennis Deane,Orlando,FL
Gee Dennis. If you've been reading this message board since back in the Scott Peterson days, you had to have seen (and conviently ignored) our work for the West Memphis 3,The Ronald Goldman Foundation For Justice and our work investgating cold case files for the FBI. If that makes me "one cold hearted " then I'll plead guilty for that and ask you:what have you done to enact change in the justice system or even in your community as a resident of the United States? If you want to call me out, you'd better be prepared to lay your cards on the table, little man.
I love that these people are so quick to forget that Casey neglected her child, the action of which led to Caylee's death.
Yes, a precious life was lost and that is a terrible life changing event, however Casey NEGLECTED to protect that life, Caylee's life, THE LIFE OF HER FLESH AND BLOOD.
I'm sorry but why should I feel sorry for or give sympathy to someone who did not earn it in the slightest. If she had come forward and told the truth to begin with, be it whatever it may be, MAYBE under that circumstance and that circumstance alone would the world feel differently. I would love to know how these people would react having had it been one of their own family members. I know that if this happened in MY family, I would still be out for blood because RIGHT was not done here...
Casey lost my sympathy when it came to light that while she was "so concerned" about her "missing" child, she was out partying and drinking. I heard she has had to return to Fl for some kind of hearing, and that she's already had death threats against her. If someone carried it out, I wouldn't cry for her.
I don't think it's going to break anyone's heart if someone went Dahmer on Casey and decided to take the situation into their own hands because justice was denied for poor little Caylee.Far from it,in fact,I believe that person would be regarded as a hero.
NOT MY IDEA OF SOLVING THIS PROBLEM,FAR FROM IT.
But come on,people, please.Let's be realistic. She can't hide forever.Someone's going to out her if she's in Florida. It is simply a matter of time and circumstance.
She honestly has no chance at any kind of safety here in Florida. Why her lawyers think she is going to stay here and live a peachy life in one of their condos is beyond me.
Chaney Mason received so many threatening phone calls to his home phone that his wife was wanting to pack up and leave town for a while. I imagine Baez has had the same amount if not more threatening behaviors confront him.
Murder is wrong, but hey we've just seen exactly how to get away with it...
I don't know how I'd feel if I were Cheney Mason's wife.I'm glad I'm not.I'll just leave it at that. I just, you know,I don't know.Everyone was so sure Casey did it. And both with Casey and the WM3 I had to hear it over the phone.I heard about Casey from my ex,no less.He called me to tell me and I was just stunned. We were all so sure.
I still think she's guilty. But you know, she had her date in court and she is walking away. There isn't anything anyone can do about it now. We all have to let go.
I have a friend taking classes at the local community college and she is in a domestic violence class. One of her peers claims he dated Casey for months and she was mentally unstable to the max. I guess they were talking about people's experience with domestic violence and he cashed in on the opportunity to be a part of the fame. He told the whole group about how he had to replace a bedroom door because he went in to take a call from his family member and Casey was so mad and insistant that he was doing something wrong that she started kicking in his door...
Where the HxLL was this guy at the trial ???
I've heard tons of other instances of when she had outbursts in public but none that really mention or seem to have happened with Caylee around.
I'm at CVS with my Mom and her friend and I'm bored reading the latest issue of People and it's got Miss Casey on the cover.Of course, being the nosy parker I am,while my Mom waits for her heart med,I read this. And it is HILARIOUS.I'm sorry,I know it's immature and spiteful but what comes around.....
She's pretty much a recluse in Florida and will be for a year while she does her year of probation. She [according to the magazine] has no relationship with George. There's nothing there and that's not much of a suprise considering she accused him of molesting both her and Caylee,if I have it correct. Cindy stands by George and believes none of this business that Casey was molested by George [I guess there was enough 'reasonable doubt' as to him having an affair and her testimony was credible] and Casey is taking on line classes in photography.According to their 'source' Casey is preparing to learn other languages [although it didn't say what they were] because she was concerned she would never find a safe place to live in this country and would have to find a place to live abroad [as per Karla Homolka]
I hope she made that bed mighty comfy. She's a young gal, that Miss Casey and she's gonna be sleeping in the bed she made for herself for the rest of her life......
