Talk About Problems? Every Try To Have A Pool Set

Ever tried to have a pool set? These people have and it wasn't fun for any of them. I would suggest you read some of these complaints and see if any of thecopmanies sound familiar before deciding on a pool company!

This complaint is against Namco pools. In June of 2003 a pool was purchased from Namco for $5000.00. At the time of purchase we were given a list of installers which was totally incorrect because some of the people listed were not listened to operate in our state and some were no longer in business. Finally in August of 2003 we were able to use our pool which we did until we closed it for the winter. Upon closing the pool for the winter I contacted Namco and asked for instructions for this procedure. I followed their information. In May of 2004 I removed the cover and found that one corner of the liner had come loose from the retainer. I called Namco about this situation and while I was talking there was an awful sound and upon looking to see what was happening I saw the pool had collapsed and the lining and wall was destroyed. I contacted Namco and was told that this was not their problem and all they could do was offer me another liner and wall at a reduced price. This leaves a balance of over $1500.00 installation and about $200. for water refill. Namco tells me they cannot help with this problem as it was not due to manufacturing problems. I have since talked with other installers and pool manufactures and was told that the design of this Namco pool is defective and the company is aware of this defect yet refuse to correct it or take responsibility for the damage caused by a faulty design. I suppose that the saying, Let the buyer be ware" is a truism so I post this message to warn others of this problem.
