Homolka assisted in the death of her little sister and yet was never charged with it, worse than that is that her Mother stands by her side. How could you has a Mother condone that..what a sick family.
I can't imagine what the mother is like. She has got to be so screwed up it isn't even funny. There's just no other explination than she is just totally delusional. I can't imagine the level of dysfunction in this family.I am serious, they are all a bunch of whack jobs.

a quote from "A Pact With the Devil"
"After she had testified in the summer of 1995 and returned to Kingston, her mother started to suffer annual breakdowns between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The reality of what had happened finally sunk in and her mother's collapses were severe enough that she was hospitalized, sometimes for months at a time."

I don't know how to feel about that. I am the mother of two daughters, I love both unconditionally. I can't fathom the horror of a mother losing a child, and having one of her children be the murderer. Even worse, I can't imagine knowing that my own daughter subjected her sister to this kind of abuse, and even participated in her molestation. In a way, that mother died a little over both daughters. So I don't think I have the right to judge Karla's mother. My heart goes out to her, however.
Before judging a mother's response to her children, walk a few miles in her shoes, if you dare.
