I Just found this story on Dateline and couldn't stop crying. And there are still no real answers as to what happened to this poor little girl. Her mother knows EXACTLY what happened, and refuses to tell the truth.
Reading it now Navywife .. if there was ever BS story .. this is it. that woman should be locked in a dark closet and hung upside down by her fingernails until she tells the father what happened to his little girl. BS isn't even a strong enough word for it ... bah!
I think the part of the story that shocked me the most is when her son confronted her and demanded answers about exactly what happened to his sister. Not only didn't she tell him, when he got upset she was like get over it, we couldn't afford both of you, be happy I picked you!?!?! WTF.
Good grief! This kind of story makes you want to get a gun and go huntin' for the mom. I was talking about all the cases of child abuse and child murder at the hands of mothers the other night with a co-worker. We both agreed that somehow society has created a generation of mothers who feel no guilt or remorse about abusing or killing their children. It's probably sexist, but the fact that MOTHERS are doing these things is shocking. Where is the bonding? Where is the instinct to protect one's children? I just don't get it. I know this kind of thing has been going on for centuries, but I don't believe it has been to the extent that we see it today. In the past, mothers who killed their children were usually found to be insane or mentally disturbed. Today's killer moms just don't seem to give a damn about their children...they are disposable.
AMEN! God.This makes Susan Smith and Diane Downs looks like church choir ladies.
I really agree with you when you ask,"Where is the bonding?" I spent so much time with my daughter I'm suprised she's not sick of me.On the contrary, she texts and we talk 5 and 6 times a week. When I see pictures of moms of small children partying hardcore [see Casey Anthony] I don't undrestand where their maternal instinct is.
What really gets me are moms like this, and other psycho moms seem to have no problems at all popping out baby after baby after baby. But for some odd reason, moms like me, who actually LOVE their kids have fertility problems (I'll spare you guys the details.) But bottom line is I'll not be able to have any more kids.

I'm sorry that is the case, and wish you the most joy with the family you have been blessed with. I agree, you know, some of the waistoids walking around my town with small children just make me want to either cry or snatch the kid and love him forever. Either way,it's damn near enough to break your heart.
