i am prayig you are doing better. So very sorry to hear you are ill. we had our parole hearing and i had enough information to make the board think. we turned in a petition with over 1700 signatures from all over the state. Now its just a waiting game to see what they decided.
I will let you all know the outcome as soon as we know it.
Thank you, Renee

We did it. Danny Noel Taylor was denied parole and not rescheduled til August of 2011. i was able to put enough information in the parole boards ear about how he is a person of interest in many other crimes. They denied him due to the severity of crime and death of a victim. With alot of prayers and hard worrk, I hope enough information will be found against him while he is incarcerated to convite of another and maybe, just maybe he wont get out. My prayer for this is that no other family has to be destroyed by his hands.
Thank you, Renee

Great job Renee. There will be some people here in Stone County that will be to hear that news.

Hi, everyone. I'm very sorry to resurrect an old thread, but my comments here are actually pertinent.

The other person he is a "person of interest" with is my mother, Patsy L. Baker, who has been missing for 17 years. Realistically, there's no doubt. She went missing, he had a weak excuse, and he's since been incarcerated for murder, and they were both messing around with meth. I mean, really. There's no doubt. Her information is here: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/baker_patsy.html . It's also worth mentioning that this man is the former ex-husband of my aunt and is the father of my cousins--you'd know such a person as an "uncle" but since there's no blood kinship between us, I wholly disown him. I wish I'd stumbled across this board years ago, when it was more relevant, and I hope you're doing okay, Renee.

Unfortunately, with no corpse there's no crime.

Anyway, Danny was released last year on parole. It's absolutely ridiculous that you can beat and choke someone to death, be sentenced to ten years, and then not even serve the entire sentence. But I want to thank everyone here for helping to ensure that he served the time that he did serve. I accepted when I was 12 that my mother is simply gone and that "whoever" is responsible simply got away with it, but at least there were consequences for *something*. So thank you.

Renee, I'm deeply sorry this monster did this to you and your family. Truly. I'm sorry the initial words may have sound calloused--my browser didn't load the page right, and I didn't even realize I was looking at the second page of a thread. I had no authority with the parole board, but i followed it all closely and worked with Marked Tree police--I don't remember the detective's name now--to try to get to the bottom of everything else. I wish we could have put him away for life. I'm truly sorry for what he did to your family.

Anema86, it is very nice to meet you and no apology necessary for bringing up an old topic. I'm Anna and I'm the ringmaster at this circus.

First, condolences are in order to you as well, because you lost your mother. It is most unfortunate that she chose a lifestyle that was not conductive to raising children and that was a detriment to you and other family members. You are not to blame for any of that and it must have been a very difficult situation for your family.

I agree with you about Danny and so many others. The sentencing guidelines are a joke in some cases. Where I live, you get more time for selling weed than assault. It is absolutely pathetic.

I remember this thread because we didn't know where Renee had gone and then I got really sick and it took a while to get some resolution and a little closure.

It says something,I think, that in many cases, the one who actually is responsible for the crime gets the lion's share of attention and the victim gets lost in the shuffle. It's an error the media perpetuates and to our great shame, we allow it.

Thank you for writing. All the best to you.
