Between school [Jill ] and my personal illness we've decide to add another mod to our discussion board. Navywife has been a great contributer to our discussions, always articulate and filling in even when I was out of town without being asked or compensated.
This is the quality we want of our adminitrative staff here at Justice Junction and we hope you'll give Navywife a warm welcome while we make the transition
Okay I'll get the ball rolling. What unsolved crime really grinds your gears
Me? That'd be Jon Benet Ramsey.Poor investigation, contamination or the crime scene, severe dysfunctional family.Add to that picture perfect parents with the show tot mom.....
Mine is/was the Murders of Air Force Wife Kathryn Eastburn, and 2 of her 3 little girls. There was major prosecutorial misconduct, many false theories, 3 trials (2 in civilian court, 1 in military court.) And someone known as "Mr. X" who sent everyone involved postcards, taking credit for the crimes, and thanking them for putting the wrong man prison. They never discovered who Mr. X was.
While it was just recently "solved" and Hennis was convicted and sentenced to death, there are still sooo many unsolved questions, almost enough to raise reasonble doubt for me. The only thing that convinced me that Tim Hennis was guilty was the DNA evidence (they had the evidence all along, but back in 1985, didn't have the technology to test it like they do now.) They found his semen in Kathryn Eastburn, and found strong evidence she had been raped.
But there's no way he was the only perpetrator of these brutal killings.
As far as another unsolved possible crime, you know about that one, the one that's personal to me.
Oh lord, I don't even know where to start on poor little Hailey. I believe that she's dead, although I believe she was taken from the house alive. I think she was sold to pay off a drug debt, since both her father and her now ex stepmother were involved with drugs. Either that, or she simply waltzed right out of that house because her stepmother was so drugged up. But I don't believe she's alive any longer, although I always have a tiny bit of hope. After all, no one believed Jacyee Duggard was alive, and she turned up alive and with 2 daughters of her own, after missing for 18 yrs.
