When I first saw this story, I was expecting a Jaycee Duggard like story, and wanted to jump for joy. But after reading this story, I will definitely need way more facts on this case.
Yes, it's true, a little girl, who was abudcted as a baby several years ago, has been found alive. But here is where her story differs from Jaycee Duggards:
Amber (the little girl) wasn't abducted from her family, she was abducted from a foster family by three of her aunts. Two were arrested at the time of the kidnapping, but the third got away with Amber. When Amber was discovered alive, she wasn't found to be a prisoner/sex slave like Jaycee Duggard had been. When she was found, she was living with a family that she considered her own (this family is of no relation to her biological family), she was in good physical health and condition, and she's been educated and going to school like any other normal child would. So I have to wonder if her being "found" is really the best thing for her. Why was she living in foster care as a baby, and why has she been raised by a family who is of no relation to her or her aunts who abducted her?
