Marilyn Monroe, 48 Years Later

Today marks the 48th anniversary of the death of Marilyn Monroe (sorry Anna, I know you posted about her previously, but, couldn't find your thread.)

I wasn't alive during her life or death.  I did grow up watching some of her movies, and hearing all the rumors and whispers about her mysterious death.   What do you think happened?

I think Marilyn was murdered.  She was obviously mentally ill, depressed, and looking for love and happiness in all the wrong places.  But I do not believe she killed herself.  Would she have done it eventually? Quite possibly.  But I believe she was murdered.  I believe without a doubt that she was involved with both JFK and RFK.  And thru the course of those relationships she became privy to many secrets that she shouldn't have.  And when both men tried to end their relationships with her, she threatened to make public everything she had learned.  There are many reasons why I believe this :  Marilyn was very well known for her journal she kept.  However, her journal was never found after her death. Lord only knows what it contained.  She also told friends repeatedly in the days before her death that she was scared for her life.  No suicide note was found.  From the time her body was discovered, it wasn't until 4 hours later that police were called.  Toxicology tests were incomplete (meaning several toxicology tests were never done), there was no pill residue found in her stomach or small intestines (remember the suicide story claims she overdosed on Nembutal tablets).  Marilyn's shrink made a very puzziling statement to reporters concerning her death :"
I cant explain myself or defend myself without revealing things that I dont want to reveal. because I cant tell the whole story. Listen.... talk to Bobby Kennedy."

Her file was sealed by the government, and many records pertaining to her death have somehow been "lost."  Death records are never lost, there is hell to pay if that happens.  Not to mention, many of the people who were in her house when her body was first dicovered have died, some under mysterious circumstances themselves.

We will never know what really happened to Marilyn Monroe, who I hope, has been able to find the peace in  death that constantly eluded her in her tragic life.

I too am a huge fan,in fact I just started "The Secret Lives Of Marilyn Monroe by J. Randy Tabboroli [also reccomended The Last Days Of Marilyn by Donald Wolf.]

I wasn't alive during her life or death either but my Mom loved Some Like It Hot and My favorite was Gentlmen Prefer Blonds!!I even remember my uncle had the original pinup calander.I wish I had IT!

What do I think happened.....I think it was JFK and RFK in it way, she's as she's slept with them both.I beliveve some coroner [DR. Henery Lee?]signed off on her autopsy report. It is a fact when you comit suicide like the way you say about the crystalization of the capules. What do you think about Dr. Henry Lee helping cover up?

She was an icon and loved by many     heart.gif

However, the one thing I can't decide on is who actually killed her. I don't think it was either JFK or RFK themselves, frankly, I've always felt it was Peter Lawford, her "close friend" who just also happened to be married to one of the Kennedy sisters. But I do feel there was a plot to kill her, and lots of her inside people, her closest confidants, and the LAPD were in on it. And I think it was all covered up so as to spare the Kennedys from being linked to the crime. While they are still linked too it, no one can prove it.

Did you know the first policeman on the scene immediately felt he had walked into a murder scene? And when he made that known, he was quickly replaced and thrown off the case.

Lawford,PFFFFT. Mr. Little Big Man. He wanted to be a big shot and it wouldn't suprise me if he'd do anything to be in the inner circle. But did he have the balls to kill her?

Ummm,no.First he was hosting a chinese dinner party at his and his wife,Pat's home to which Marilyn had been invited.I do not think he was clever or sophicated enough to set up a murder and sneak around to make those happen.

Then how she was killed. We all know about the crystalized barbituates.....or lack there of. Her body was NOT checked for needle marks. Back in the day they didn't look for that sort of thing, aka,John Belushi, aka,River Phoenix. She had an amount of barbuates to kill her. How did they get there? You do the math.

My theory [LAPTOP CONSPIRICY HERE] is one that bases on the police stopping RFK and two others speeding down Helena Drive and telling the cop it was "official FBI business" after giving her a hot shot, probably in the armpit where in the event anyone would be looking for a needle mark, they would not see.

So that's my my theory based on what I've read and heard and some of them  even included the Grande Dame Kennedy. Anybody else? Take your shot! I'd love  to hear hear it!      evileye

I think her death is right up there with JFK's assination, the Vietnam War, and 9/11 :We will never know the complete, real truth about these events.
