So,I'm sitting here thinking.....you know there are SO many cases out there that go unsolved and others that you might feel didn't get the appropriate punshihment. And what about the innocent incarcerated that are getting a royal screwing over by the goverment. I'll go first.
*The West Memphis Three.Three innocent men in jail, one on death row for a crime they did not committ! www.wm3.org
*The murder of JonBenet Ramsey. This is what got me into the field of justice and I have so many conflicting thoughts on why the hell didn't they catch who did this??
*OJ Simpson.Guilty.Case closed. Walked away a free man.Disgusting, even if he did wind up in jail later for something else.
*The death penalty.I'm all for a national mandate as far as that goes. Why should my tax dollars pay to house people like Casey Anthony and Charles Manson? Forget it.
*The murder of Laci Peterson. Scott Peterson was a pathalogical liar and he killed his wife and unborn child. No punishment harsh enough for that scumbag.
So tell me my good readers and friends, tell me what you think about the crimes that plague you,how you feel about the judicial system and anything else relevant to this topic.
The Eastburn Murders: North Carolina's most complicated murder case. A young mother and military wife and two of her 3 young children are brutually murdered. A soldier stands trial 3 times for the murders. But will we ever know the real truth about what really happened if in fact the soldier really is the killer?
The Disappearence of Kyron Horman: Kyron allegedly disappeared from his school after being dropped off by his stepmother. She is now the prime suspect in his disappearence. Next month will be 1 year since he vanished. Where is he?
The Disappearence of Lindsey Baum: Lindsay vanished walking home from her friend's house one night, just days before her dad was due to deploy to war. Her case is stone cold.
Natalie Holloway: She has never been found, and now the man suspected of killing her is the primse suspect in her disappearence and possible murder is in trouble with the law again for murder. How does Joran Van Der Sloot keep getting away with these crimes, and will he ever reveal the truth about what happened to Natalie and where she is?
The Death Penalty: With more and more cases popping up about innocent people being convicted of crimes they didn't commit, should we keep the death penalty in place, or put it on hold until our justice system is "repaired?" Which is worse, not putting a guilty person to death, or, putting an innocent person to death?

The Natalee Holloway thing has bothered me for quite some time.I think there is something permanantly wrong with that dude. And while I'm on the subject, what about the Kalpoe brothers? I know they had to be involved in some manner or at least know something their not telling. There's just no way they could not!
after Van Der Sloot [how ever you spell it] killed Stefany Flores,I became convinced he is a liar and a cold blooded kiler.
I wanted to add to my list, since it's either the anniversary, or close too it. Madeline McCanns parents were on the national news this morning. So sad that 4 yrs later, not a trace of her has been found. While I think her parents were idiots to have left 3 small children unattended so they could go out for a nice meal, I don't think they did anything to her, other than win the Dumbest Parents Of The Year award. But, I do feel for them. I hope they can get some kinf od closure someday soon.
Natallee Holloway.I think a huge part of the problem with that is that it happened in ARUBA! They didn't conduct a criminal investigation the way we in America are expected to be handle a criminal investigation.Joran's legal problems just got worse when his father passed away I'd bet 10 to 1 the elder Van de Sloot knew something he took to the grave.
JonBenet Ramsey. This will never be solved becuase of the inepetitude of the FBI,CBI and the disguistingly pathetic behavior of the entire Ramsey family.Throw in the lack of cooperation and there you have it.This case galls me to no end.It COULD had been solved. The police just screwed it up too badly in the first 15 minutes for it to be solved.
We all know I have my set of feelings on OJ:he walked for those two murders,of Nicole brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. This is a particularly bad thing because that trial was one big joke and he just walked away from it happy as you please for a dish of ice cream with his kids.At least he's in jail now for something even if it isn't for the double homicide.
Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka. Yeah I'm still mad about this and I feel it justifies as a big botch up.Yeah,Paul got his life sectencing but one day after she cut a 12 year plea deal for her participation in the crimes, videotapes emerge that showed her having one hly hell of a time with Paul, raping and videotaping the 3 victims, one of them her own 14 year old sister. Now she,her new hubby and their new baby live on a tropical island, shielded from publicity. She has never expressed any wrongdoing, blaming it all on Paul and using the battered spouse syndrome.
My last beef is with the Carlie Brucia case.Every time I see a reletively carefree child I want to grab her hand and walk her home so there so the world wil be a littlle less unsafe. I will never be able to get that still image from the garage camera of her trying to pull away from her attacker out of my head. The DP would be too good for him.

You know what case came to me in the middle of the night? The woman who killed the little playmate of her daughter and put her in a suitcase and threw her in a drainage ditch. DAMN it,what was her name? I keep thinking "berry" was in her last name but for the life of me I can't remember.
Ah yes, that's right. I've always thought there was alot more to the story. I have always had a hard time believing she acted totally alone and on her own.
Yeah.....a child that age would have fought back. Supposedly she molested the child as well. I wouldn't be suprised if she subdued the child and someone else was involved in the molestation. Sick.
She was found in a suitcase,in a canal not too far from the trailer park where they lived. I remember being especially disgusted bythis case because the woman had a daughter the same age as her victim and I hate to think how all of this is going to affect her life.
I was reading up on somthing when a link took me to the story about Melissa Huckaby, the woman who killed the little 8 year old playmate of her daughter.
Apparently she took a plea to avoid the DP and has given up her right to future appeals and future parole hearings, she will literally die in that prison.
She supposedly said to the court,"I am sorry for the sorrow I have caused your family but I did not molest your daughter."
Excuse me? The autopsy showed she had been molested with a rolling pin that had Sandra's DNA on it in Melissa's home. Not much way to get around that, sadly.
There are so many cases that go on for lifetimes with no news, but this one is the only one I can honestly think of right now that rocks me to my core. I guess it hits close to home because she was so much like myself, and she seems like the least likely person to be abducted with no end to the case!
She was a firefighter who went missing. Her truck was found in a pond. There was blood all over the interior, but having been in the water it was hard for the officials to say if it was enough to have declared she was dead before dissapearing.
What I never understood was that her husband was in deep trouble for a pot operation and the day of his trial he told officials that he had to get to Brandy because she had a serious head wound. He had been held beause of the charges, how the heck would he know that if he wasn't being allowed to speak with her ?
She was a woman who didn't strike me as unable to handle herself. I mean, she was a firefighter and she was an outdoorsy woman like me. She drove a lifted Chevy and wasn't exactly someone that you would think a random offender would choose to pick off you know ???
Didn't know if we were not supposed to put up links, so if we aren't just let me know but here is the site I like to point people to...
Billie, you are always welcome to post links to anything that is applicable. We just ask you post NO video. You can however, post a link to the video about the case.
Having said that,I looked at that link and all I can say is BULL! There is something seriously wrong there. That doesn't fit the profile of a random killing or stranger abduction. I doubt it happened like that, although anything's possible.
I just couldn't believe that the husband had nothing to do with it. He was up for a crap storm of trouble over his pot farm, and his wife was involved only because her name was on the property's paperwork. But since she was a firefighter it rocked her world and people started to think the worst of her sadly...
Like I said before, he had made claims the day of her disappearance when she hadn't shown for his court hearing that she had severe head trauma and he needed out to help her... I feel like he knew exactly what happened to her and knew who it was... guessing he hired them, especially since all she wanted was to clear her name after the situation he slammed her into.
I'm just wondering if his plan was to have her attacked and use that as a meal ticket to get out of court and have a distraction from the case against him. Then it all went to crap because how was he going to cover his behind if she turned on him ? I mean she was trying to do the right thing, so why would she let him get away with it ? I have just been haunted by the amount of blood they found in the truck even with it having been sunk in a pond. And the fact that they found her backpack with her day planner in it in that creek... but no other leads... just so haunting...
I didn't see this Billie but maybe you know.....did he have any kind of life insurance policy on her? Maybe he told his weed dealing partners, hey help me get her out of the picture,I'll beat this thing and I'll cut you in to the tune of 5k?
I looked all over for information on it when I first heard this case, but never found anything. She was a firefighter so I imagine there HAD to be something! Especially with having the kids and caring SO SO SO SO SO MUCH for them, she had to have planned for something for them just in case.
I can't imagine they didn't have something for her kids....even where I live, and this is a big ass city where cops and firemen are always getting killed,we always have barbeques and fund raisers for causes like this.
Did anything like that happen?Did the family have a fund,a memorial set up in her name anywhere?
This is the most recent info I've found on the case... I couldn't find any information on the financials of the children, but Brandy's husband did his time in jail for the pot farm and then regained custody and is raising the children.
I'm going to look into the celebration of her life and see if they have a memorial fund for her kids or to raise money for the criminal investigation.I'll get back with all y'all.
