A very important and relevent topic coming to you from your favorite moderator,Annarocket

For many the time one other topics have lead to an incarcerated felon who has been comitted despite his innocence and has had the back of family, friends and supporters, for example,my personal cause,The West Memphis Three.

Hello friends,members and readers,

Today I'd like to talk about the death penalty. We all know I feel about this so I wont repeat myself. However,It has come to my attention that there has been an organization http://www.innocenceproject.org/ that addresses this very subject.Unfortunately, there is a man scheduled to be excuted as I type this and nothing we can do for him. But I read through the highly artiticulate website lead by the sister of a man who was life was spared only to have him die 6 months after he won his freedom.

Friends and readers,I ask you to go to this site and read the stories of these prisonors who do not belong there.Think of the WM3.Know that it is possible that a man falsely accused can be set free.We have just seen it HAPPEN!

Please join me in supporting this most worthwhile cause.

I was very sad to hear of the execution of Troy Davis. He had been convicted in the killing of a police officer. EVen though many jurors who had originally convicted him have changed their mind on his gulit, many witnesses who testified against him later recanted their testimony, the murder weapon was never found, and no physical evidence at all was found connecting Troy Davis to the murder/crime scene, he unfortunately was executed last night. I don't know enough about this case to make an educated decision as to whether he is the real killer or not. I do know however, that enough reasonable doubt existed that should have prevented him from being executed last night. While the family of the slain police officer remains convinced the true killer has finally been served justice, many across the globe believe an innocent man was executed. This is the problem I have with the death penalty. It's used in cases where reasonable doubt exists, possibly putting the wrong person to death. It should only be used in cases where absolutely no reasonable doubt exists.
