BREAKING NEWS:AMANDA KNOX FOUND GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES

Newsweek has put out an interesting piece on the Amanda Knox case.If you don't remember, she's the student who went to Italy to study and would up being involved in a bizarre love triangle with her boyfriend and her roomate,Meridith, and another man.

I'm fascinated by this case. It's got so many conflicting stories and so many out and out lies that I wish she were being tried in the U.S so we could watch it live.I feel absolute sorrow for the family of Meridith Kercher. The stress of losing a loved one and the subsequent trials are gut wrenching and I pray they have the strenth to take them through this.

Check out the story at the link below and see what you think. As for me.....personally,I think Amanda's screwed big time.    evileye

I read somewhere she was saying she got an amazing amount of mail from the states and she was sad she was being known for all the wrong reasons.

I just sat there. I wish I could look her in the eye so I could ask her if she'd rather be known for bragging to her friends that she had consentual sex with a stranger on the train into Italy.

Geez.   evileye

One of our readers was nice enough to forward me this link about the Amanda Knox case.

This week the victim's family spoke publicly a day before hearings begin to decide if charges will be indicted against Amanda, her Italian boyfriend, and a local man whose DNA was found at the crime scene.

I sure hope they do charge them so they can be tried. If they are innocent,I believe the lack of evidence will bear that out.Unfortunately,I believe they are NOT innocent and they have the forensics to prove that.

MSNBC Dateline did a great piece and that's where the link came from.Take a look at the story and decide for yourself.I feel quite sure you will feel the same.

Thanks to justice4all for the links!    evileye

An Italian judge ruled today [Tuesday] that the case against one of the 3 suspects in the murder of a student in Perugia,Italy can proceed and on a fast track.

Of suprise to noone, the trial is not for Amanda Knox or Raffale Solecito. I found the video accompanying the article to be most informative. There is over 15,000 pages of evidance collected.Check out the photos of Miss Amanda going into court.Talk about a lost soul.

Check it out below.   evileye

Here's another great email from one of out readers about the Perugia,Italy murder concerning Amanda Knox:

<Original message>
Hi annarocket,
Wow,and what do you think about Miss Amanda Knox? It seems like you think the same as I do.First she has sex with strangers on the train into Italy, then she starts up with that Sollecito guy,and it wouldn't suprise me if she tried something with poor Merideth, and when she got  turned down, she murdered the poor girl. It's awful, and I hope she gets what she has coming to her if she is  guilty. And I think she IS!
You have a great site, keep it up.

Well thanks,Janelle! We love all of you too and that's an interesting theory on the Knox case. I never thought of it like that, but you never can tell!    evileye

Dear Miss Griffy,
As a personal friend of the Knox family,I must take extreme exceptition to your charecteracterazion of Amanda. She is a kind, sweet and loving girl who never hurt any one in her entire life. You have gone too far and I must say your bettlittlment of Casey Anthony is most obscene.Whoever let you on this website is of extreme questionable moral judgement.

WELL.Sorry! It's funny,I spoke to the person who "let me on here"today and had a chuckle.Crime is far from being the clean and innoffensive thing we all wish it were.      evileye

One down......looks like Rudy Guedo, the man who asked for a fast track trial in the death of Meridith K. has been found guilty and sentenced to 30 years.

You need to see the video of Raffale and Amanda going into court.I will say he looks mighty well cleaned up. [spoiler]evileye.gif

Oh,Miss Amanda.

MSNBC Dateline has posted an excerpt from Amanda's prison diary and the discussion board with questions from former FBI profiler Clint Van Zant in the discussion section has been updated.

It has some new and very interesting stuff so head on over and give the folks at Dateline some love.    evileye

CNN has a feature on our favorite student/roomate,Miss Amanda Knox. Her trial [and being tried along with her,her Italian ex-boyfriend,Raffaele Solecito].Man I wish I could watch this.Take a look at what CNN's got up.Very interesting stuff. From what I can see I suspect if this had taken place in the States, she'd be in even worse trouble that she is.

Amanda Knox's alibi got shot full holes this week when a Perugia market grocer identified her as being in his store buying cleaning products and rags at 7:30 am the night after the crime.

This is going to turn out badly for her....just a prediction from your favorite Rocket.....evileye

The front page section of CNN.com/Crime is saying,"Foxy Knoxy Murder Case Is The Talk Of Italy,"

The accompanying article goes on to report that Amanda has 11 Facebook pages dedicated to her and was voted the "Person Of The Year [female]" by an Italian television station.

Take a look at this article. If I may quote the great Oliver Stone in my very favorite movie,"...The media made them superstars..."   evileye

Today's email comes from Omaha and I really liked it.Take a look:

<Dear Ms. Griffy,
I've read the discussion board posts about Amanda Knox with a sense of disgust. You aren't interested in the truth at all,are you? Amanda is innocent intill proven guilty, that's the best thing about our country. Is there any way you might give Amanda equal time instead of being the doomsayer and insisting she's going to hang for this?
   Thank You,
    Mrs. Georgia Sharmagne,Omaha,NE>

Hi Georgia, and thanks for being a reader and for writing.
I found this website,it seems to have a lot of good information about the case and is very positive that Amanda is innocent. As for her being innocent untill proven guilty, that applies to AMERICA. She's being accused of murdering someone in a forign country. She's subject to their laws.
Anyway, take a look at this website.Let's give Amanda her day, shall we?    evileye

It is a short clip of Amanda Knox's aunt saying Amanda called home the night of the murder and said she couldn't find Meridith. They also talk about the bloody footprints found at the crime scene.

Tomorrow Amanda Knox is set to testify in her own defense in her trial for the murder of her roomate Meredith Kerchner [sp? I never get that right]

This piece is interesting,it seems to have to have some very definate opinions about Miss Amanda's demeanor and how that will play out in a court of law. This should make or break her. Take a look.    evileye

U.S. student testifies Italian police pressured her

PERUGIA, Italy (CNN) -- American student Amanda Knox, accused of killing her housemate two years ago, testified in her murder trial Saturday that she was intimidated by Italian police during questioning.

American college student Amanda Knox, 21, testifies Friday at her murder trial in Perugia, Italy.

Knox, 21, is charged in the death of British student Meredith Kercher, who was her housemate in Perugia, a university town north of Rome.

Kercher, 20, died in what prosecutors say was a "drug-fueled sex game" after suffering a sexual assault. She was found half-naked, with a stab wound to her neck, in her bed November 2, 2007.

Saturday was the second day of testimony for Knox, who is from Seattle, Washington.

The public prosecutor, her defense lawyer, the attorney for her then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, and the judge asked her about what happened the night of Kercher's death and the following day.

Both Knox and Sollecito, 25, are charged with murder and sexual assault.

Knox tried to explain Saturday why she gave conflicting answers to police when they interrogated her on November 6. She said it was a combination of police pressure, their suggestions, and her confused and frightened state of mind.
When I would say that I was with Raffaele, they would say, 'You are a liar,' and they repeated this," she said, testifying in fluent Italian.

"You will go to prison for 30 years. ... You must remember," Knox recalled the police as saying.

Knox said the police were standing behind her and officers were going in and out of the interrogation room. A policewoman next to her was constantly pressing her to give them a name, and an interpreter on her right said people under trauma tend to forget things, she said.

"I was confused. ... I had so much fear," Knox said. She testified that she thought, "Hell, perhaps they're right and I have forgotten."

Knox repeated Saturday that police slapped her on the back of her head while questioning her. As she spoke, she hit her head a few times with her right hand and gestured broadly.

Knox testified Friday that she was not at the women's villa the night Kercher died, which authorities believe was the evening of November 1. She said she was at Sollecito's house. VideoWatch Knox take the stand »

Knox testified Friday that the couple had dinner, watched a movie, smoked marijuana, had sex and went to bed on the night of November 1. She said she returned to her and Kercher's villa the next morning to take a shower.

That's when she said she noticed "strange things" such as the front door being left open, dried blood in the bathroom sink and on a bath mat, feces in the toilet, and the door to Kercher's room locked. VideoWatch Knox in court »

When Knox returned to Sollecito's house, she said, he suggested they call police in case the house had been burglarized. Police then found Kercher's body.

All cameras were barred from the courtroom Saturday because the public prosecutor said he wanted to avoid "sensationalism." Cameras were allowed at the beginning of the session Friday but then ordered out.

Knox's father, Curt, defended his daughter Saturday.

"What we've seen over the past five months is a character assassination, and now, hopefully .... a different point of view of who she is is coming out," he told reporters.

People are beginning to see that "she is not this dark angel she's been portrayed as," he added.

"Amanda did a great job" on the stand, Curt Knox said. "She was very articulate in her answers. She answered all of the questions truthfully. She was not quivering in her voice. She was looking the judge in the eyes."

Her attorney, Carlo della Vedova, described his client as "very confident."

"She has repeated exactly what happened that night, on the fifth and sixth, when she was arrested. She gave all the information that was requested" during her testimony, he said.

The trial is to resume next Friday, but Knox isn't expected to testify again.

A third person, Ivory Coast native Rudy Hermann Guede, was convicted of murder in a fast-track trial in October and sentenced to 30 years in prison. He is appealing the verdict.

I ran across this today in my travels across the seamy underbelly of the internet,LMAO.

It seems out friend Miss Amanda has kept a diary while in prison and Tru-TV [formerly Court TV] has put it on line for all of us to have a look at her thoughts on life, love and being Foxy Knoxy.

Being an inveterate journal keeper myself,I don't know how I would feel if anyone got ahold of them and read them all. They aren't that interesting [I don't think so anyway] but the privacy factor is in there. Or did she do it so someone would read it and see her as a good girl being railroaded?

Judge for yourself at the link below.     evileye

I am not surprised at all.  It seems Italy's justice system sucks even more than ours does.   I heard very little if any actual evidence against her.  I even heard the lunatic prosecutor make statements like "She MIGHT have done this or that" or "She maybe did this."  Since when is that considered hard evidence??? He sounds like he's the one who should be locked up for 26 years.   I know one thing.  As much as I have always wanted to see Italy, I will never travel there.  I don't want to look at someone the wrong way and get locked up for life.

My favorite movie is about 2 criminals and the quote is "The media made them famous". Well the Italian Media went totally batsh*t on the pair of Amanda and Rafaele and there was so much media there was NO WAY they were getting a fair trial. The jury consisted of 2 judges and 6 laymen.

WHAT IN THE HOLY LIVING GRAP????

Personally,I think she was involved SOMEHOW,don't know if it was the kinky twist the media seems to be salivating over but girlfriend is going to have 26 years in Italian Prison to ponder on that one.

Way to go,Foxy Knoxy.         evileye

OH KAY now I've heard it all. The Knox family is being brought up on charges of libel against the Italian police for making slanderous comments about the treatment of Amanda in jail.

Supposedly Amanda was beaten, denied food and water, and "been physically and verbally abused" as she was waiting for a hearing.

Check it:

Haven't thought about Miss Amanda in a while....have you?

But today while reading a piece on the death of Springsteen saxohphone player Clarence Clemons [RIP,blues man] I saw a tiny piece out of the corner of my eye by the AP:

A convicted child molester,Mario Alissi, testified Saturday at the appeal trial of Amanda Knox saying that a fellow inmate told him the American student had nothing to do with the killing of her roomate in Italy.

Knox was convicted of murdering Merideth Kercher a British student and sentenced to 26 years in prison while co-defendant Raffaele Sollecito was sentenced to 25 years.Allessi was held in the same prison as a third man Rudy Guede who was also found guilty and supposedly told Alessi that Knox and Sollecito are innocent, which Guede denies.

Who knows? There's a song...."It's all about the he said/she said " evileye

Miss Amanda continues to fight the good fight. Rock on,Foxy Knoxy.

Right now, from what the AP is reporting,Amanda's appeal is going well. They have recovered evidence, most notably the knife used in the stabbing and have re-tested the DNA,which has come back implicating Amanda's DNA was not found where it would have been found if she had done the stabbing.

Hm.

I just read this great book called,"The Monster Of Florence" by Douglas Preston and Mario Spetzi and it is about a serial killer in the region of Italy in and around Perugia, the same place the murder of Meridith Kercher happened. It gives an amazing perspective into the Italian judicial system.I was like, wow,no wonder this got into such a snarl.Pick it up at your local library! It's worth a read!      evileye
