Just saw on the news (entertainment news that is), that Reese Whitherspoon is scheduled to star in a movie called The Devil's Knot. It's a movie about the West Memphis Three. She's to play the character of Pam Hobbs, one of the mothers of the murdered boys. This is NOT a documentary. No word yet on when the movie will be released.

I saw this on the front page of MSNBC.com this morning.It's all over the news that she's going to play Pam Hobbs and that Pam really believes the Three are innocent. My Uncle asked me how much she was getting paid to make this film and it was like getting sucker-punched.
The next installment in the Paradise Lost series comes out next year,and Peter Jackson is rumored to be making a movie about this called,"West of Memphis". We'll see. Hollywood traditionally screws up stuff like this so I can't hold my breath.
LOL yes, I can always be more awesome (it's a gift.) Personally, I say good for Reese. Alot of actresses would have run for the hills if offered this part, because of the subject matter. I think she's the kind of person that will go to extra lengths to do the role justice. And since she's from TN, and this happened in TN, I think it will hit home for her just a bit more. That said, like you said, Hollywood always screws stuff up, so, it's not going to be completely accurate. I might wait to rent this though instead of going to the theatres to see it. But I do want to see it.
