It's been one week today that Sierra LaMar, a 15 yr old living in Northern CA, disappeared while on her way to school. She didn't get very far... police dogs lost her scent at the end of her driveway. Her cell phone was located last Sunday, in the complete opposite direction that she would have been headed to school. Her backpack was discovered on Sunday as well... containing her schoolbooks, along with a change of clothes. Police didn't confirm it was hers however until Thursday. At this point, it's still not clear if Sierra ran away or was abducted. But since she vanished, there has been no activity on her facebook page (she was always on facebook according to her parents), nor her cell phone obviously, since it's been recovered. While her father is a convicted sex offender, he's been ruled out as a suspect in her disappeareance.
So....she went missing on March 16.If she was being kept against her will in a relatively small area can the sex offender list be considered in an ongoing investigation? Or is that prejudicial? Here's a link w/some video. Man.I would just be beside myself.
I think in any missing child case the first people that are always looked at are any registered sex offenders living in the town/city that the child disappeared from.
