Another person convicted for a crime they did not commit and who spent years and years behind bars has been set free by DNA results that prove this person was not in fact the perpetrator of the crime. My question is this: people continuosly say "the system isn't perfect, or the system is broken." Yet, there doesn't seem to beany effort towards fixing the problem.
On another note... how is a person supposed to recover from this? They suffer mentally, phsyically, spiritually, financially... only to MAYBE get lucky, get dreed by DNA results, with a sorry, good luck, and sometimes, financial restitution.
How about creating a new justice system... instead of using one that is increasingly wrong more often than it is right?
Not to be a smart ass but you don't really think the department of justice could actually admit they have gone horrificially wrong and push for reform,do you?
Come on man! Spare me the b.s. and get real. The system isn't prepared to change the gooey, slimey unpaved tarmac that our justice system has become. They'd have to admit they made a mistake and we have a better chance of Jim Morrison coming back from the dead and going,"HEY! This was all a giant ha-ha-hooey-hooey!!"
You can fix a broken alternator. You can't fix it when someone pours a 5 pound bag of sugar down your gas tank. In the words of Dave Mustaine,"If there's a new way/I'll be the first in line/It better work this time/."
