I still can't wrap my head around this, and as more and more details surface, it's making the the picture of what happened to U.S. Army Captain Bruce Clark more murky.
Capt. Clark was deployed to the middle east, and was skyping with his wife. According to the few details that have surfaced, Capt. Clark was suddenly knocked forward by something.. it's not been officially released as to what... and then collapsed. After his collapse his wife witnesses a bullet hole in the closet door behind him. Was it an accident? Or was it murder? Considering that this is the military, we might not ever know the real truth.
I can't imagine what this wife is going thru. It's hard enough to lose a spouse. Harder still to be a military spouse and lose your loved one on a deployment... but to actually witness their death over the computer, and sitting there helpless waiting for help to arrive... I can't even begin to imagine. It took two hours of long distance, frantic phone calls made by Mrs. Clark to get her husband help, but by the time help arrived, it was too late to save him.
