It's Summer! Pick Up A Book! You Aren't Doing Anything Anyway.....

biggrin

Just kidding!! But yeah we all need to read and there are a couple of books out, some coming out soon and some just plain WTF books you might be interested in.

Imperfect Justice:Prosecuting Casey Anthony by Jeff Ashton  *sigh* yeah,I know I shouldn't have done it but I'm still looking for the scapegoat. Didn't find it here. Ashton failed because the system didn't give the jury what it needed to convict her. Damn shame. No justice for Caylee.

Jose Baez is coming out with a book and not only am I not buying it,I'm not even giving that idiot the time of day. Also,Miss Casey is preparing her OWN book of journal entries which I won't buy since she's constitutionally unable to tell the truth. Baez book due in July,Casey's WTF knows.

Finding Karla by Paula Todd   Hot damn! Someone had the huevos to track this chick down and actually meet her. Availible only on Kindle through Amazon.com it is only 50 pages long, but the author actually met Karla. Dudes, pick it up. You know you want to!!!

Wise Guy [25th Anniversary Edition] by Nicholas Pileggi with Martin Scorsese   The real life gangster portrayed in Scorsese's seminal classic,Goodfellas,Henry Hill, died this month, just after the release of this classic. For me,this is the amazing story of how the old school gangster mentality permeated the neighborhood and the life Hill built around himself.

All right,I'm done for now. You read a book you get a prize! My eternal respect good enough??      evileye

Ummmm..... really want me to answer that? lol I'd like to add a book to this list that I read a few months ago.... yes, it has major religious overtones, but don't too put much emphasis on that part. It's called the Devil In Pew Number 7.... it's about a little girl, who after months of threats and harrassment against her family witnessed her mother's murder and her father's shooting... and the aftermath. And unlike so many kids who when they witness something like that their lives are ruined forever, she managed to find a way to have a good life. Not sure I could.

Well aren't you just the cutest little thing......LOL.

Just finished a great paperback,Dead Reckoning by Caitlyn Rother. Skyler DeLeon and his pregnant wife Jennifer seemed like a sweet and upcoming young couple as they boarded the "Well Deserved" a beautiful boat owned by Tom and Jackie Hawkes.

Telling them about his independant wealth, part of which came from being a child actor on the children's TV show,Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,Tom Hawkes negotiated to sell his pride and joy to the young couple, never realizing he and his beautiful wife Jackie would lose their lives at sea to the sociopathic Skylar and his cold blooded wife.......       evileye

You guys gotta read that Dead Reckoning book.It was really good! Come on,it's too hot to be out screwin around and gettin alllll kinds of dehydrated. Just picked up 2 new books and I noticed stupid Jose baez got his scumbag tale out.Didn't even pick it up but my buddy Jules told me she saw it and read part of it in B&N. Baez clamed when he first smelled the car his inital reaction was that he was going to have to talk to Casey about taking a plea. Give me a freakin break. Talking about the scum representing the vile.

I got a book called "A Knife In The Heart" by Micheal Benson. It looks interesting.Kinda like a Lisa Michelle Lambert Part 2. Also picked up and am going to start tomorrow "Restless Souls:The Sharon Tate Family's Account Of Stardom,The Manson Murders, and A Crusade For Justice". They both looked pretty good and I always have to have a book in my hand so.....reading it and reviewing it so you don't have to.... annarocket

Finished,"A knife In The Heart'. Man. Sad. Where have we gone so wrong with our kids that they think that taking a human life is okay and the way to solve conflict? I just can't wrap my brain around it.

It breaks my heart that our children have come to where they are. I just don't get it. I never claimed to be a perfect Mom,Lord above knows as I get older I see those mistakes more clearly day by day. But never in my wildest dreams did I ever live one day with my child that I did not do my very best to teach her right from wrong. We see so many kids got so horribly wrong and it is really bumming me out. I'm studying to write a paper on juvenile offenders and the stats are staggering. And heartbreaking.                   evileye
