Ao a friend of ours is in law enforcement, and he shared a rather funny story from his shift last night, which I thought I would share with all of you... and he said it happens more often than you might think.  Really? I guess criminals are getting dumber and dumber these days....

A liquor store was held up last night, by a kid who waltzed into the store thinking a large basebal capl that hung somewhat over his face would be enough to disguise his identity.  He made two mistakes in the armed robbery:  he not only wanted cash, he wanted liquor too.  So the clerk told him he looked younger than 21, could he see his ID?  The kid actually whipped out his id and laid it right on the counter to prove he was exactly 21.  After he got the booze and the cash, he called his friend on his cell phone to say he got the stuff and was on his way.  And then promptly laid his cell phone on the counter, right next to his id, because apparently the poor guy needed both hands to carry out the cash and the booze. He then left, completely forgetting his id and cell phone still on the counter.   So imagine his shock when just a couple of hours later, the cops were able to track him down.  I swear, you can't make this kind of stuff up!
