Calgary police are reporting that an end of school party turned into a multiple homicide when Matthew De Grood age 22, a University of Calgary student stabbed four men and one woman to death in what appeared to be a random and unprovoked incident. De Grood was an invited guest to the party, where there were about 30 people.
Police called it, "The worst mass murder in Calgary's history."
