Blacksburg, VA: Nicole Lovett,13 was stabbed to death last week in an act that was committed by two people who are accused of doing so: her "online" boyfriend, David Eisenhauer,18 and Natalie Keepers,19.
Nicole snuck out of her home at night by pushing a dresser against her window, climbing out and then meeting David to go out with him. It was determined that she was having a sexual relationship with Eisenhauer who stabbed to death to keep her from talking about it and that Keepers, helped Eisenhauer hide evidence of the crime. Both were students were freshmen at Virginia Tech. Balcksburg police chief made a statement that they recieved over 400 tips concerning the case.
One of the things that has struck me, and I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but it is being reported that this young woman met this loser on the internet using the app Kik. When are we going to figure out how to get it across to our kids how unbelievably unsafe this is???
Bail has been denied for both, as it has been established that the crime was premeditated and charges have been lain for Keepers of accessory before the fact.

From MSN/Washington Post: Natalie Post told her therapist she didn't need services at Virginia Tech's Cook Counseling Center where she had been a patient. Tracy Vossburg, a Virginia Tech spokeswoman who declined to make specific details public about Post, said that it was their protocol to have an ongoing dialog between the patient and the health care professionals to determine a course of action.
According to this piece, Post has self harming issues and had been the subject of bullying. She had never met Nicole Lovett and said she took place in the crime because she wanted to be a part of something "Secret and special."
There's a pretty good detailing of the way the center works for students who need it but if we are to believe it does work, this young woman went out of her way to escape the system. Remember, she was the secondary. She didn't kill Nicole, she helped dispose of the body. Not like we should cut her any slack if she's found guilty, but there is a difference.
You say this was preventable but you talk about your kid and you were a kid once. You have to know kids do things like jumping out the window and seeing R rated movies [and worse!] behind their parents back.

Excellent point Sheyanne. And I did a ton of way worse junk. It's lucky I didn't get my dumb ass murdered and I'll be the first one to admit such. This was however, before the internet and I wasn't reaching out to stalkers and fruitcakes that I didn't know. I was hanging out with fruitcakes that I was in high school with and had known for years. This is not to say we couldn't have killed ourselves acting a fool...I actually rode around on the hood of my buddy's duster while on Jack Daniels when I was 16, but I digress.

From Crimefeed.com: This piece details the crime a little more and explains why the lawyers for the accessory are asking for bail: she's not being fed a gluten free diet [I'm serious. She's got an allergy to gluten.] And she's not getting the proper antidepressants in there. Now, I'd think that's kind of a moot point since she chose to go off them and claimed she didn't need treatment,remember? Why the big deal about it now? I'm calling the bull card on this one.

Nicole Lovett, age 13, had been telling her friends that she was planning to run away with the man accused of her murder and starting a family with him. Nicole described him as "really funny and nice" to her friends and there has been speculation she was involved in a sexual relationship with him. I hesitate to claim this as fact, because this is in the initial stages of the investigation, but if she did, it affected her judgement to the point of making a choice that lead to her demise.
This is a great piece, detailing how she told her friends he was her online boyfriend and the killers lifestyle before the murder. I hope justice is served in this tragic case. I can't imagine the pain of her loved ones. She was just a 13 year old child and had a beautiful life in front of her. RIP beautiful baby.
