WMC Action News/CrimeFeed.com: Memphis TN: A nurse Practitioner in a Walgreens drug store has been accused of spanking a 4 year old, non verbal child with autism after he was pushing a notification button used to notify pharmacy staff that a customer is waiting for service.
Rhonda Anderson and her 4 year old were at the drug store to get his ears checked and the child reportedly pushed the button to make the ringing sound. Anderson says the child was "messing around" and describes him as "excited". She stopped him from pressing it further and that is when the nurse, identified as Kathleen Robert, who, "Out of nowhere,the nurse attacked him and was whooping him. This went on for at least five or six spankings."
Robert has been charged with assault and been fired from her job at Walgreens.
Now...I have a couple of issues with this. It takes a hot minute to hit a kid 5 times. I actually gave it a try [not with a 4 year old, with a 13 year old kid] The mom was probably in shock that this woman laid hands on her kid. And if I'm going to be really honest, I probably would have gone to jail over a situation like this because anyone touching my kid like that would have gotten the ass beating of a lifetime. I see a multimillion dollar lawsuit in this thing.
