This is so damn disturbing. I saw that the accused actually confessed and so I decided to investigate and read what I could find.
Shaylyn Ammerman, 15 months old, was found murdered this week [reports conflict the date] and the victim of sexual abuse. Kyle Parker, 22, is accused of rape, murder, child molesting,kidnapping, strangulation, aggravated battery,obstruction of justice, failure to report a dead body and unlawful disposition of a dead body. Parker, who was a friend of the family, was at the home of the child's father the night of her disappearance drinking with the child's uncle, Adam Ammerman. Court records show that Parker has pled not guilty.
Parker allegedly told his stepfather, Mike Patton, while he was in jail that he was guilty and he acted alone. Investigators at first thought Parker was with holding information about Shaylyn's disappearance, and Patton spoke to Parker, who confessed to him that he'd killed the child. He tried to blame the uncle Adam but as the whole thing unraveled all that just fell apart. An autopsy showed severe trauma from a sexual assault as well as injury to her nose and mouth consistent with smothering.
I don't even know what to say. If he's guilty [and why would he admit to such an absolutely horrific thing if he wasn't?] then DP this monster and just get it over with. I understand people sometimes confess to things they didn't really do. He could be severely mentally ill [um,duh]but it looks like he's good for this. And I don't want to talk about it anymore today. Sorry y'all.
