Hi I am new here and was drawn to the boards. I am Canadian and at times do not agree with my countries justice system and this is a perfect example why, here is an update on one of the sadistic beasts in my country, in my province.


Homolka set for release on victim's birthday

TORONTO -- Killer Karla Homolka will be released from prison next year on the birthday of one of her victims. Corrections Canada said yesterday Homolka's sentence ends July 5, 2005 -- the day her second victim, Leslie Mahaffy, would have turned 29.


"It's hard to imagine and I have been doing that, but the justice system doesn't take things like this into consideration," said Leslie's mother, Debbie Mahaffy. "A year from now is a year from now and I have no control of that."


Homolka's 12-year term for triple manslaughter ends the plea bargain for her role in killing Mahaffy, Kristen French and Homolka's sister, Tammy.


Homolka was convicted in 1993 on two counts of manslaughter for her role in the abduction and sex slayings of Mahaffy and French.


She drew the prison term in exchange for testifying about her ex-husband Paul Bernardo's role in the killings.


Bernardo has been declared a dangerous offender and is serving an indefinite sentence.


Homolka has been refused early release by the National Parole Board three times but this time it has no choice but to free her.

im sure this releash on victims birthday. is heartrendering to victims family.you are right when you describe karla as a sadist beast.this woman is serisly deranged a very sick personshould be in custody for the rest of her naturallife. along with her husband paul.

Oh my God,it's Karla again.


We all know about my Karla and Paul story and I have recieved a lot of mail about it. I knew she was going to get out in 05 but didn't know when.


Hearing this psycho beast from hell is going to be free in an unsuspecting public makes me madder than I can say. She should be serving the rest of her life for what she did.She's a murderer,plain and simple. She's just as guilty as Paul and Canadian corrections screwed this one up majorrly. Sorry about the language but I'm  so angry.

The woman needs to be tossed in a cage & kept there for the rest of her life. Too bad Canada doesn't offer the death penalty...

Every time I think of Karla I get angry. If she had done something like this in this country she'd be on death row. She certainly belongs there!


If you want to see the kind of life she's been living you can plug her name into any search engine and it will come up with the pictures of her and another convict playing dress up for the other inmates in a evening wear fashion show. The Canadian public hates her and she is fearful that upon her release she will be the victim of vigelante justice. I just don't want to see her in this country. I will do everyhting in my power to make sure peole know what this woman is about and what she did. I don't know if she could get in this country perminantly because she's a convicted felon but I wouldn't be suprised if she tried.

I found this link to a protest page of Karla Homolka's deal with the Canadian crown. Legally, according to the laws in Canada they can re-open her case based on the fact she "forgot" to tell them about a young girl she drugged and raped for Paul to abuse while she videotaped the episode. Go there and sign the online petition. This woman is completely sick and is going to be free soon. I did a story my first for Justice junction called "The Evil Within" about what this woman and her husband. It is under the column "Judicial Injustices". I can not tell you how truely evil this woman is. She needs to be declaired a dangerous offender (like her husband) and put away for life. She isn't even going to be on parole because she served her full sentance. She will be free to do whatever she wants. People please,usually I don't blab about my work but read this story and you will know that I am right about this woman.
